Fantasmic to Star Wars

I know they changed the time from 9 and 9:30 because of the hassle it caused of people rushing out to see the fireworks, but I don't understand why they can't change it back to how it was in February in April where guests had the opportunity to do both.

The way it was in February and April actually worked quite well. Fantasmic started 45 minutes before the fireworks began so that guests could easily do both. We sat in the very front row of Fantasmic (as we always do) so we were some of the last out. We still had plenty of time to catch the fireworks after Fantasmic.
basically with the new show you have to be closer to Center Stage. Before you could be all the way back, by Crossroads or even Echo Lake and Indiana Jones and see the fireworks just fine. Now, to be able to experience the show the best possible way, you have to be in the front, close to Center Stage. So Disney's reasoning is that if people have to chose between F! and SWaGS some will enjoy one show and others the other show, giving the best possible view to both groups. (I'm not sure I'm explaining this the right way)
If you only had 10 minutes to leave F! and reach a spot for SWaGS it would be very hard to enjoy either show. One you would be ready to run out of F!, thus not enjoying the finale, and then when you get to Hollywood Blvd you wouldn;t have enough time to find a good spot to enjoy the SWaGS show completely. Sure you might see some of the fireworks and some of the projections but you wouldn't see it they way it's designed to be enjoyed

I get what you are saying. Still, I would rather see both, even if I don't have the perfect view from the perfect spot.

We saw the Star Wars fireworks both before they added the new projections and after. For me, I just love the Star Wars fireworks for the music. The projections didn't add that much, IMO. I would rather have an option to see both.

And we were able to get a great viewing spot for both the fireworks and Fantasmic on the nights we did both. We did not rush to leave Fantasmic, and even did a little shopping before the fireworks began.

Taking away my option to see both really diminishes the value of a HS ticket.

I really don't want to have to spend another evening at HS. There just isn't enough to do there to make me go another evening. I'll have to decide which one I want to see. I'm not really a Star Wars fan, but I do love fireworks!!
