Fantasmic Thread!

Agreed. Frankly, I believe the view is better a few rows back so the railing is out of your way.

8:15 will get you good spots in the RDZ section. Try sitting farthest to the right so the middle projection screen is in front of you. Further left and you're kind of in between projection screens.
Thank you for mentioning that! I would have assumed trying to be closer to center would be better.

Has anyone else noticed Fantasmic isn't showing on Sunday nights starting after Labor Day? I could have sworn that the show happened on Sunday nights during Halloween time last year.

I have a trip planned for October and opted for a Sunday arrival thinking I could see F! that first night. I will be SO sad if its not showing.

Not sure if they completely updated the calendar that far out. I found the other entertainment listings were also spotty that week.

I heard the Mark Twain was going down for referb for a few days. Not surprising that the weekdays don’t have any shows.
Only for 4 days in September 8 to 11. The F! schedule is almost identical as Fall 2024 so far. F! will be Friday, Saturday and Sunday in November and on Thanksgiving.

When that ship is being worked on, they just bring the characters out to the island for the finale, right? So work on the Twain shouldn't affect F!

I forget what the backup plan is when the Columbia is down for maintenance.

I've seen it in B mode. But I also don't doubt they would take the show down for a few days as a cost savings measure. But this time of the year it isn't even running during the week, so it is not likely to interfere anyway.

Yeah, that's the point I should have made more clearly. They were going to drop weekday showings at that time of the year anyway, Mark Twain maintenance or not.

Saw these ears at the Port Royal Curios and Curiosities. They were sold out the next day when I went back but I bet they get more. They are awesome.

First showing of F! stopped abruptly last night and was canceled (around the Maleficent scene) - we heard it was apparently due to lift malfunction. Wondrous Journeys also started around 10 mins late - we were in DCA at that time. Anyone hear anything about why fireworks were delayed? Not sure if related to F! cancellation or not.

I'm guessing wind. We were there until 8 pm and noticed that it was pretty windy.

As Maleficent was rising, the water screens unexpectedly turned on. Looks like Mickey got drenched because he got out of Dodge pretty quickly. It took about 5 minutes before the screens shut off. Most likely they delayed the fireworks until they could get the screens reset, since so many people watch from ROA.
