what is the cost to have fantasmic reserved seating or dessert seating and WHERE do they seat you?

Last time I heard it was $59.00/person and they seat you down in front of the Rivers of America.

Jack

You're not right next to the river - you're on the first terrace level. So there are regular guests in front of you, but they have to remain seated for the show, so they don't block your view.

The seating area is to the left of the main light tower - basically in front of Cafe Orleans and the French Market.

I need to update that a bit.

There are two premium seating sections for Fantasmic. One is the section in front of the Haunted Mansion, and to the right of the raft loading docks. This was section C, but not sure what the section is called now. There is also a section that is more centered, in front of the main light tower. This was section B, but I'm not sure what it is called now.

I was there last Friday & took pictures, but it was already twilight & most of my pics came out blurry. I'll try & take more this weekend to upload & update the site.

What was considered section A is now handicapped seating. We were there on 6/20, and it is okay, but you do not get a good view of the Pinocchio scene because you are so far on the left.

The VIP area seems to have been moved. It is now (as you face the island), to the right of the center Fantasmic premium seating section. I did get a good pic of that. I'll see if I can put them in this thread later.

We have done the gallery(gone) and the riverside(two years ago) and for us it is the only way to go. Was curious about a recent perspective of the layout. I know about all the check-in requirements and getting to the podium early.

awesome!:D we will be doing that. lol. also is there any kind of "special" seating or buffet type thing for the regular fireworks show?

If you book the Fantasmic special seating for the first show they will let you stay to watch the fireworks.

Debating whether it would be a good idea to reserve the Fantastic priority seats, and I'm thinking I should!

First off, both my husbands knees have been operated on in the past (separate times) and his back isn't the best, and he's tall. My back isn't that great, and neither are my feet, sometimes my right foot has bunion problems. I would hate to take the chance since this would be our first time seeing this show!

There are 4 of us, that's the last reason, we want to all be together! And of course...the sweets don't hurt either! :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

We did it once and it is the only way to watch it, we plan on doing it again in oct.

We did Fantasmic reserved seating last night -- it was great!

Section A is now VIP seating for the sponsor's guests (Sony?).

Section B & C are the same as earlier.

I got to the check-in line at 7:10 and was the 4th party. Ironically, we would still have been the 4th party if I had arrived at 7:30, when more people started showing up.

We had the first four front-row seats in Section C, on the far right of the section facing the river. Great view overall, but had to stretch a bit to see floats on the far right. They came to us eventually, so no problem. Wonderful view of the island.

Food and drinks were great, except for the chocolate strawberries being replaced by those raspberry filled cookies (icky to me, but good to the kids).

We stayed in our seat for a great view of fireworks. Could not see the castle projections, but could see Tink and Dumbo in the distance.

My son brought his binoculars, which were wonderful for close-ups during the show (Peter Pan & Captain Hook fighting!) and for Tink/Dumbo.

Spectacular evening!

3 more notes:

While you don't have to check in to sit down until 8:30, recommend getting to the area earlier due to heavy crowds. We went to Critter Country and did Winnie the Pooh, and then had an easy stroll to the seats. Disneyland closed the Fantasmic seating area by 8:45 pm due to heavy crowds.

The umbrella stand nearby has large bags to fit the extra desserts in (we had four ppl, and two combined boxes of left-overs.)

And of course, the dragon was still "sleeping."

When we made our ressies, the CM said they were issuing wrist bands. Anyone heard of this?

Jack

I made reservations this past Saturday for August and there was no mention of any wrist bands :confused3

I made the ressie's this last Monday for Aug 20th and she said they would issue wristbands for seating. That was a first I had heard of it.

When I was there last week Section A had been turned into the handicapped section, so wonder if this is a recent change.

Great tip about the bags for the extra desserts. I carried my plastic box, and it would have been so nice to be able to put it in a bag. I was thinking of taking a tote, but now this is an easier idea.
