Is the dinner package worth it? We'll have to eat anyways, but I've heard you can get better seats by standing in line and ds and dh would rather eat at Sci-Fi

If we don't do the package, how early do you need to get in line for a GREAT seat?

How long before the show starts, do they open the theater up?

Would I be able to leave the line to maybe grab a snack and then come back in line with ds and dh?

We're going in Sept so I think there will only be one show?

I'm excited to see it, can you tell? LOL! Thanks a bunch for any suggestions!!!!

If the show is set to start 9pm...we arrive at the theatre at 8pm. We do Sci-Fi and then walk over. Never thought to do the dinner package because I like to sit front and center at Fantasmic.

Get in there, get your seats and you can go out to get snacks (leave your DW and the kids there). At 8:45 it was packed (May 2003). People had to stand up in the back. Sad.

We just did the dinner package two weeks ago (H&V). Got to the theater area about 8:30 for the 9p show, walked right in, the reserved seating area was still two-thirds empty (but the whole remainder of the theater was PACKED). We had great seats - and a pretty quick route to the exit.

Crowds tend to be lower in Sept. We have been that time of year twice and never had any problems getting a seat. We usually got there 20-30 min or so ahead of time and still had great seats. I don't think there is any reason to do Dinner Package in Sept unless you are going Labor day weekend.

We will be there this year for a very short trip 9/10 to 9/13 (a quick Disney fix to help hold me over till our first Dec trip).

Have fun planning.

Snoopymom,

What a great show! Don't forget to look for the Hidden Mickey: When animated characters float up in large bubbles on the water
screen, watch for Pinocchio. His bubble forms the head of a classic Hidden Mickey.

My husband and I will be going in November. We will be seeing Fantasmic sometime between Nov16-21.
We would rather not get the package. We were thinking of going to Sci Fi in the afternoon for lunch and getting snacks while waiting for Fantasmic. At that time of year there is only one showing (7pm) from what I have read.
What do you think? will we be alright without the package???

Thanks for all the info!!! We'll be there the Fri after Labor Day, so I think we'll arrive an hour early and hope for the best! I was worried about NoJ but I've heard it really only effects MK. I'll let you know how it goes Mrs J since we have similar plans. Thanks for the hidden Mickey tip too. I almost got that book over the weekend...I think I'm going to have to get it before our trip, sounds like it's worth it.
