Never been to Fantasmic. Not quite sure what Fantasmic is. Like to try it out this time. I heard there is some sort of dinner package you can get for it. If so, can anyone tell me what restaurants are involved and what is the best restaurant to choose. :cheer2:

The dinner package includes dinner at one of three restaurant choices. Brown Derby, Hollywood and Vine or Mama Melrose's. We weren't thrilled with H&V although many others enjoy it. It's buffet style and the cheapest. We're trying MM next time and have heard mostly good things about it and BD. It's really up to what you want - allearsnet.com has menus that you can check out. If you get the package, you reserve with a CC number over the phone when you make your PS. At the restaurant they give you a card to take to the special entrance. You give the card to the CM "guarding" the entrance and you go to your seats. The package guarantees you a seat in a specified area - it is to the right of the amphitheatre. These seats are not fabulous, because you miss a little bit of the effect of the show. I am glad that the first time we saw the show was not with the package because we had great seats. So, consider this as well. The show is a combination of stage show, boats floating by with characters, water spraying with images projected onto the water, fire and water effects and fireworks show all in one. It is an excellent show!!!

It all has to do with personal tastes but my family and I did not like this show at all. Forget the wait, the time wasted, etc. We just did not like the show. There are some who love it. Me, I would rather watch the MK fireworks.

For me, Fantasmic is not to be missed. It is spectacular. Mickey is fighting the spirits of evil and and characters interact with various scenes from WDW movies which are shown on "screens of water." People sitting near the front may get wet.

I love it.

I have never done the dinner package as we always manage to get good seats without it.

Pig Pen how long do you wait to get those seats? I have three young ones (8,6,4) I am trying to debate 50's cafe and wait for good seats or H&V and the package. I have seen the show once before and loved it, this will be my kids first time going. I have heard that the package seats aren't that good so I am debating back and forth on what to do.

The way I describe it to friends when thet ask what Fantasmic is: It's a firework/water/character/parade/pyro show. It is about Mickey having a bad dream and he has to fight off all the Disney villains.

In order to get good seats, you have to get there an hour early. If you go later, you probably will get seats, just maybe not the ones you want. I would go at least 20 minutes ahead to get seats. Even then, you might not get seats.

Yeah....for good middle seats you want to wait an hour to an hour and a half..
