Fantasmic or World of Color

How to see World of Color without leaving your home.
1. Turn out the lights, or move your big screen tv outdoors at night.
1. Put on a DVD or Blu-Ray of your favorite non-classic Disney/Pixar film.
2. Using a spray bottle filled with water, or a garden hose, simply spray water in front of your tv, creating a "screen" of water with the movie playing behind it.

Tip: For an even more realistic experience, invite every person in your neighborhood to cram into a tight space to watch the presentation, and be sure to stand behind all of them. Or, take your family to a nice, expensive dinner before your show, and then return home, but have everyone in your neighborhood stand behind you and your family as you watch the presentation.

DONE!!

Now...If you want to see real characters, dancers, live action and fireworks, Fantasmic is the only option. Sure, it will be crowded, but by the time the show comes around, you will be used to crowds.

LOL, you better have 1200 motorized garden hoses flying around in that room too! Plus your natural gas line hooked up to a few flamethrowers in the room!

Honestly this all sounds in line with the folks who say "Why do you go to Disney parks anyways? It is all a bunch of make believe with kiddie rides, isn't it?" If the magic of WOC does nothing for you, then there are other people who feel that way. But I know for me and my now young adult kids, it blows us away every...single...time with the mastery of immersive and completely unique storytelling.

Of the two shows, I would choose Fantasmic! I don't really get the love for WoC and find it rather boring. That being said, you have to plan out your strategy for either one if you want to get a good spot. I'd plan at least two hours of waiting for Fantasmic! and at least one hour for WoC (with getting a fast pass earlier in the day). Enjoy whichever one you choose!

I am planning to watch both. I just watched Fantasmic on YouTube and it seems like it would be pretty hard to beat, but we'll see! In my mind, you just can't beat the classic Disney characters! I'm thrilled to have a chance to see it, because they weren't going to have it due to Halloween parties, but they just added a random late Thursday the week I'm there with Fantasmic!

I think we may choose WOC on Wednesday since Thursday is our last day and my kids just might be too burnt out to be up late that night. Thanks for all of your advice and opinions!!
