Fantasmic in February

What would be your strategy for seeing Fantasmic during the first week of February for a group of 11, (6 children ages 3-10). Would you do the Dinner/tickets package? or is that not necessary that time of year.

Personally I would not do it. I have been during the week you mentioned and used the pkg. It was before the newer policy of more expensive, set menu prices. We ate at H&V. The reserved seats are off to one side, we entered 30 min. prior to show. It was fine but not necessary.

Last trip we went the week after Pres. Day and during Mardi Gras. We opted not to do the pre-pay pkg. and boy were we glad as it was rained out on the night we originally planned to go! It rained another night that week and we didn't even attempt to go so don't know if the show was cancelled that night or not.

Later in the week we went, we bought fruit salads outside the theater area and entered 70 min. prior to show time. Once inside we secured wonderful seats, upper center "Scar" section. DD and DH went to food stand to buy hot dogs, big pretzels and water bottles which added to our fruit made a nice meal while we waited. The kids brought their gameboys and DH and I chatted with all the nice people around us. We took turns hitting the restrooms and before we knew it the 70 min. was gone and the show started!

Not using the pkg. worked for us but others wouldn't go without so the choice is yours.

Don't do the reservation. It's a waste of money. I got better seats with shorter wait time when NOT using the reservation.

Also I only waited for 40 minutes. (it was the week following President's Day)

I went the first week in February last year and you do not need the package. Crowds are so low that you can stake out a good seat on your own 20-30 minutes before the show easily. I showed up about 10 minutes before showtime and got a fairly decent seat.
