Fantasmic - how crowded during February?

We (husband, two kids) are arriving at WDW this Thursday (yea!!!!!!). We're planning on hitting MGM that day (an EMH day) and I'm wondering if anyone who's been recently can tell me how early we should get to the theater to see Fantasmic. I'm trying to decide on a touring plan and don't know if we need to plan on waiting an hour, half hour or what.

During President's Week last year, we went on a non-EMH day using the Fantasmic dinner package, and there were still a few stragglers finding spots here and there with about a half hour left, but there wasn't much to pick from.

If I were going on an EMH day, though, I'd either plan to get there *more* than an hour in advance, or preferably I'd get the FDP. If it was a non-EMH day, I'd still be shooting for 45 minutes to an hour in advance.

This year, we're going the week after P-Week, and my plan is to try to hit it without the package on the Sunday evening. If we don't make it, I have an FDP reserved for Wednesday to "guarantee" that we get in eventually, but I'll cancel that if I get in on Sunday.

My family and I went last Saturday. We arrived at our seats about a half hour before show time and the theater was about 75% full. (Fills from the middle, out to the edges) This weekend should not be too bad. If you want to sit dead-center, you should arrive 45 min - 1 hour early, but if you're ok with sitting off-center, you can arrive 25-30 minutes early and be OK.

The weather is going to be cool down here over the next week or so. Be prepared for evenings in the lower 50's.

Also, I believe that Fantasmic is showing twice on Saturday. The 8:30pm show will be less crowed than the 7pm show.

Depends when you go. President's Week will be pretty crowded. The first 2 weeks of February should be fairly lightly croweded, especially on weekdays
