If you used FP+ for fantasmic were u glad you did ? For our family its between that and TSM, but aren't super impressed with TSM (nice ride but not a must-do). How much time and/or general hassle did it save you? We always waited in normal line for fantasmic and ended up in top corner of theater which was ok but don't know if FP+ seating makes it much better. We will be with 2 young kids are 4 seniors. Would love to hear your feedback

We used the Fantasmic FP during the quiet season (beginning of September) - maybe there's a different procedure during more crowded times. I'm not sure.

There were two different queues, and I asked the cast member if we were in the right one for FP. They told me that technically yes, but it doesn't really matter.. I was confused, until we were let in to the amphitheater and saw that the other queue had been let in at the same time as us..?!

Plus, we were let in at the top/back, and the standby line were let in closer to the front!! :confused3
Luckily we were near the front of the FP line so we managed to get relatively close. But still.

I would wait and see if anyone has experienced a better system, but from my experience, it was totally NOT worth it! :goodvibes

We booked a Fantasmic! FP+ because we had a dinner reservation at Le Cellier and knew we wouldn't have extra time to arrive early and get seats. We arrived about 15-20 minutes before the show. At that time (last week), the system was that the far left sections were reserved for FP, the center sections were reserved for dinner package, and standby got the far right sections. We had plenty of options in the FP seating area. We could have had the very front row in the far left section, but we chose a seat a couple rows back in the next section over to be more centered with the stage. On the other side (standby), it was totally packed! People were struggling to find seats and were having to split groups to get seats. I would not be surprised if they closed the standby line because seating was full. This was the only showing of Fantasmic! this night. So we booked the FP because we wanted to secure a good seat without problems just shortly before the show started. And it worked great for that purpose!

This is what I expected when I booked our Fantasmic FP!
Maybe because it was much quieter when I went, it was just a free for all! No reserved sections or anything like that.
I do like being in the center section though, so maybe I'll look into a dinner package next time I go :goodvibes

I got one as my 4th FP+ last month. I got in line at the time shown, about 35 min before showtime. Wasn't much of a line. I got in and asked where the FP+ section was, only to find there wasn't one. All that was left was the last section on the left. All FP+ does is guarantee you will get in, you still need to get there early for good seats.

If you are planning Fantasmic during a busy time of year or when DHS has a high crowd-level, FP guests will be seated on the left side of the amphitheater, Dining Package guests have the two center sections, and Standby fill in the right-side sections.

If you are a late arriving Standby guest, then you will be held in the entry plaza and will only be allowed to enter after the FP window has closed, and then must fill in the FP area if seats are available. You may also have to stand in the concourse Standing Room Only areas.

I had a FP+ last Wednesday, and it was not worth it. For a 6:30 show, our FP time was 5:55. So we waited until about 5:45, and walked right through the FP line... to see a 3/4 full theater. FP was the left side (furthest from the entrance), dining package in the middle, and standby on the right side. We like seats toward the top, so our seats weren't a big deal.. but just knowing that we could have gotten a better seat by NOT having a FP/waiting for our FP time was kind of annoying. The only advantage that I could see is that the FP entrance is shorter - the standby goes all the way around the stroller area, while the FP line goes straight into the theater. We actually asked a CM what the point to a FP was, and were told that it really just guaranteed you a seat.
