Fantasmic for Memorial Day Weekend, suggestions?

Hello,

I will be visiting over Memorial Day weekend and I've noticed that they have two showings of Fantasmic, 8:00 and 10:30. I would much prefer the later show. Any ideas how far in advance I'd have to show up?

Do you think the package would be absolutely necessary?

We will be a party of two. As long as one of us is waiting in line, could the other go shopping, grab food or at least go to the bathroom? Or is there no leaving the line under any circumstances?

Do you think Friday, Saturday, or Sunday will have the lowest crowds?

A package won't be necessary unless you want a guaranteed seat in a specific section. You can show up fairly close to showtime if you don't have seating preferences. However, if you want to sit in a certain section or in the front or whatever, and you prefer not to buy the dinner package, then 45-60 minutes prior to showtime isn't uncommon.
