Hey everyone.
I just made resies at Hollywood and Vine for the Fantasmic Dinner package. I am wondering a few things.
1) How is the food at H&V
2) It this package worth it (going May 11 and expecting crowds for 50th celebration)
3) Exactly how early can you arrive at the "special" entrance
4) Exactly how late you can arrive at the "special" entrance

Thank you everyone
(posting this in the food one as well since it is both attraction and dinning)

Getting Excited!!!!

We (me, bf, mom, dad, bro, bro's gf) got the dinner package at H&V last year during Spring Break. We absolutely stuffed ourselves. Everyone found something they liked. We really enjoyed our meal. The lines for Fantasmic that night were crazy so it was worth it because we were going to eat in the park anyway. Our PS was early so did late breakfast, skipped lunch, then we had plenty of time to eat dinner. I would not recommend arriving late to the theatre. You may end up all the way to the side of the theatre or in the wet section. As for early, we were 45 minutes early and had fantastic seats.

2). Depends on the crowd level. Early May is not that busy so it may or may not be busier because of the celebration.
3). Whenever you can enter the theater as usual. Usually they open the theater about 2 hours before showtime.
4). No later than 30 mins before showtime

Have a great trip!

I have seen people complain about H&V, but we did the fantasmic package there last July, and we all LOVED it. It was actually one of the best dinners we had.

We just went by protocol, and arrived a half hour early for the show.. We didn't have to sit off to the right, we got to sit in the more centered seats. Had a great view.

We were there during a very low crowd time - from 1/29 through 2/3 and the stadium was almost full. Can't imagine what it would be like during a busy time!

We got the H&V and enjoyed it (all except hubby who doesn't approve of buffets). The food was very good and had a great variety. We got there 1/2 hour before show started and were directed to our seats. Didn't have to worry about a place to sit - I'd recommend the seating.

Can't imagine sitting there for 2 hours on those bleachers!

PLUS every one leaves at the same time from the same place, so the closer you are to the bottom, the longer your wait to get out. But, then, the less time you need to spend in the shops waiting for the crowds to thin!

We did the same package. We found the food very good and the service was also good. We were there during Spring Break,so crowds were high.We got there I think,a bit late, so our seats were not great. They were okay. I'm a sit in the middle girl. We were off to the far right. Other than the seats, all was good.

We did the FDP on Feb 6, dining at the H&V.

I really liked the Hollywood & Vine, yes its a buffet, but the food is more upscale than your typical buffet, I'd rank it on par with a decent Vegas buffet. Be sure to look at the big chocolate sculpture guarding the deserts.

Something for everybody on it to, they had steak, chicken, pork, pasta, salmon all represented. The salad station isn't much to speak about, but the main dishes and side dishes are all quite nice. Good dessert selection as well, in nice sample size pieces.

The night we went the dinner package was not really needed, becuase the stadium did not fill up until about 10 minutes before show (that was when they started filling the standing room sections), but I say if you are going to eat in a participating restaurant anyway, you may as well claim a show voucher. Nobody says you have to use it, but its a nice tool to have if the regular queue looks crazy.

The package entrance is next to Oscars Super Service, and it is a long walk back, so leave time to get back there if you are moving slow and tired. Another positive feature is that you will be sitting near the stadium exit, so you will be one of the first out, if you so choose. I think they cut the special entrance lane off 30 minutes prior to show.

I definitely recommended the package. Have been to Hollywood and vine and is good. Great selection for everyone including those picky eaters!! ENJOY!!

I am planning on doing it again this trip!!!! I think H&V has great food no matter what the age!!! :cool1: We had my 1 yr old, 5yr old and 7 yr old at the time and they all thought there were great choices. The atmosphere is great too!!! Have a BLAST!!! Nothing like seeing Fantasmic in such a great view!!!
