I just reseved the Fantasmic Dinner Package. Then I got worried. I will be in an ECV. I wonder where they will sit me. Do I need the Fantasmic Dinner Package or I am better just standing, acutally sitting, in line. My husband does not want to wait in line so I decided on the dinner package. Now I am worried. Any advice appreciated.

With a wheelchair or ECV the Fantasmic Package is not necessary, and may not be the best seating. The Fantasmic Dinner package always seats you on the far right.

We have always shown up about 30 minutes before showtime with hubby's ECV and have always been seated in the Center Mickey section or just left of center. About halfway down the pathway you will be met by a CM, and will be taken out of the mass line and personally escorted to your seat. You will definitely be in the top row. That gives us enough time to get settled, get a snack, visit the restrooms, etc. before showtime without being rushed, but also without a long wait.

oops! I just posted an answer to your question on your other thread. Maybe the moderators will come along & combine them?

One nice thing about the accessible seats at the top of the section is that there are electrical outlets at the base of the light poles and you can plug a (probably) tired ECV into one while the show is in progress.

There are other threads that address this topic also, and this is what I have gleaned from all of them:

The point of the dinner package is to get a good deal on food (if you're a big eater!) and not to have to wait for an hour or more. The seats aren't better- I know that from personal experience.

However- Fantasmic! dinner packages do not cut down on the wait if you have a WC or ECV, since handicapped seating is the same if you have a package or not, (actually better if you get the few non-package handicapped seats down front) and there is plenty of handicapped seating in the back. Apparently, getting in 30 minutes ahead of time is all that is necessary to get a seat, and sometimes not even that far in advance is required.

The walk out is looong- the last time I was there I could walk better than I can now, and I remember then thinking it was too far for me.

So, we decided to cancel our ressies at the Brown Derby- we've got several other nice TS dinners planned- and go to the Sci-Fi diner where my kids have been begging to go ever since our last trip.

Thanks DISers!

So, how many people can go with the ECV? There are 4 of us but only one "driving". Is there a bench for all 3 of us?

A 'party' at WDW is usually considered to be 5 plus the person using the ECV or wheelchair.
The wheelchair seating is the entire back row of the amphitheater. There are spots for wheelchair and ECVs users to park intersperced with a few seats for people accompanying them. The rest of the people from the wheelchair parties sit in the 2 rows directly in front of the wheelchair/ECVs. Whether or not all the wheelchair spots fill up before the other seats is really variable. We have been at Fantasmic when all the spots were filled a while before the show started and other times when they were not all filled when it began.

The dinner package seats are the far right section of the amphitheater and they have the same arrangement for wheelchair/ECV users; it's the back row of the dinner package area, with the 2 rows ahead of that for the rest of your party.

There are a few wheelchair spots down at the very front of the theater. I don't know if the dinner package area has any. I know for the non dinner package, you need to get there early for those spots because there are only a few. Also, be prepared that you may get wet from the water spray during the show.

And, when leaving, it's best to take your time getting out. Just sit until the crowd thins, then leave. The total amount of time from when it ends until you get out will be similar, but most of your time will be spent sitting waiting to leave instead of (very slowly) moving out.
