Fantasmic Dinner Package Changes

We did hit it just right...only about 1/2 hour after we sat down did it start to get busy. We had a GREAT time and the weather couldn't have been more perfect. We are looking forward to going back in a few years and will definately be doing the Fantasmic show again!!!

When I made my PS at H&V for the dinner package recently, I asked about charging the CC and the CM did not do it. She didn't even ask my for my CC number:confused3 .

You should call back. They do ask for a CC in case you do not show up. They'll charge your CC then. If you do show up then they won't use that CC.

I'd call back and be sure it's a Fantasmic package PS.

I agree. You should check your reservation and make sure it is for the Fantasmic Pkg. They may have just made Priority Seating reservations for dinner only. With the Fantasmic Pkg they will take your credit card because they will charge it if you don't show for dinner.

I agree three. The CM must not have understood about the Fantasmic package, and probably just made a normal rezzie for dinner. You'd better call back to change it ASAP. Good luck!

Well, I called back to check I did get the Fantasmic Dinner Package and apparently I did give them my credit card number when I made the PS:scratchin :o , but it isn't going to be charged until that day.

Must be too much thinking about the MAGIC! Never hurts to check, though.

Have a great time, the weather should be mild and relatively dry for your trip.

How far in advance can this be made? (the PS)

Thanks!

90 days but they'll only give you very early times and at about 30 days - 25 days, they might open up some later times.

I booked this past August PS at 90 days and got 4:30p and then at 25 days, I got 6:30p for the 8:30p show.

beattyfamily is correct. At 90 days get your first PS, which will undoubtedly be 3:30, 4:00 or 4:30. Take that and then call starting from 30 days on down until you get a later time. Don't get discouraged, keep trying. There are cancellations all the time, plus Disney releases later times for the FP within the 30 day time-frame. If for some strange reason you don't get a later time, you'll still have a PS, even if it is rather early. No matter. Since Christmas time is a very busy time, you'll appreciate the reserved seats, and no standing in line.

We have never done the package before--have it reserved for this weekend. If we enter the stadium through the package entrance and there are some seats left more toward the center, can we go over there? Or is the reserved section on the right roped off and we are expected to stay in there? I was just wondering if we saw a couple seats more in the center --can we run over and grab them?

Our trip is getting close!!

From what I remember you could sit any where you wanted. They just had 2 section reserved for the package. What I do remember was at the end of the show everybody, including the people with the package, had to exit the long way around. But it was nice to be able to pop in 15 minutes before the show.

The center seats are for those who stand in line, but the reserved seats, if you get there about 45 minutes before the show, are very good. Just move over to the left as far as you can go. The advantage of the reserved seats, of course, is that you don't have to stand in line. You will be sitting during your wait, not standing. And you can send someone in your party to get convenient snacks or drinks. Remember, you want to get about midway up, not real close as you may get wet. November evernings are not always the warmest. Enjoy the food while you relax knowing you don't have to stand in line, and have a great time at the show! If you've never seen it, you may agree afterwards that it is one of Disney's best.

When you go to dinner at your reserved Fantasmic Dinner pkg. they will tell what time to be at the specified FDPkg entrance. I believe it is about 30 mins prior. If you are late and the stadium is filling up they will not let you in even if you have the dinner pkg voucher. We had the very disappointing experience this August. I made all the arrangements and we were a few minutes late in meeting other members of our party who were let in on time. We missed the show which was to be one of the highlights of our visit. We never got to see the show and many, many other people at the regular entrance were turned away. (because we were told to try there.) I don't think there will be much of a problem off season but just to be sure make sure you are there in time. The entrance was by the front of the park where they seat you in a designated section. We only saw Fantasmic once on a previous trip. In my family's opinion it is the best fireworks show we have ever seen!! A definite must at least once.

I'm surprised that they wouldn't let you in with the voucher, unless they had already let in non-voucher people on that side. The 30 minute time frame is a strong recommendation, not an absolute. Friends of ours were delayed and didn't get there until 15 minutes before the show was to start, and they got in. And they went in September.

We heard they made people in the reserved section move closer to make room for those with no reservations that night. It was a Wed nite mid August. We were sooooo disappointed.

If we go the week of Thanksgiving, with no reservations (I'm still tossing this around) how long would we have to wait on a night when Fantasmic only shows once. On Tuesday it will start showing two times per night, would this be our best bet, and which showing, the early or the late? How long before show time do we need to get there, I'm not worried about having the best seats in the house, I just want to see the show and not waste any more time than necessary!! I want to enjoy the park. Thanks!!!

You might want to go to the early show if you have younger children. And then you will probably have to go approx. 90 minutes before the show starts to get in line. Considering it's Thanksgiving week, that is one of the busiest times other than Spring Break, Christmas, and the summer. You could try to go about 60 minutes before the show starts, but you may or may not get a seat. If you do get a seat, it will probably be on the sides and higher up. Whatever you do, good luck and enjoy the show.

I've got a 4:40 pm PS at H&V, with Fantasmic scheduled for 7 pm on November 8th. I was going to try for something closer to 5 pm, but decided that if we get out of the restaurant by 6:00-6:30 pm, we'd head over to Fantasmic early and try for a better seat. After seeing it before, I'd rather go a little higher up and more to the centre, if possible.

On our last trip, we arrived maybe 20 minutes early. While we got reasonably okay seats, they were still lower down, toward the right side of the audience. We were still happy to have reserved seats without waiting in line. Another bonus was after the show, when we got to exit at the same place from where we entered. We were way ahead of most of the crowd in exiting the park and being first on the Friendship Launch back to our resort. If you are taking a bus, you'll probably get on a lot sooner too. This is just one more bonus of booking the package!;)
