hope this doesn't sound to stupid a question but am I right in thinking the frist show is about 7.30 ? so do you get the same affect if it is a laser show and it isn't dark (we go in July) .

I read from page one to page 29 of this thread and haven't found the answer. Simply don't have time to read anymore. So, at the risk of being repetitive...

Can you do the FDP and attend the later show? There are two shows the day we are going, and we want to attend the later one, now that our kids are older and can handle it.

We are going the last week of March, so I think the FDP may be beneficial, even for the later show. (I may be too late calling for ressies, though.)

No, the Fantasmic package voucher is only good for the FIRST show.

Depends on what time of year it is. I went to WDW the week between Christmas and New Year's. When I booked the Brown Derby with the Fantasmic package I knew there were two shows and just assumed that because our reservation was for 4:50 we would be going to the first show. When the waitress gave us our voucher it was for the second show. I questioned it and she looked into it. She explained that because it was so busy they had made the cut-off 4:30 for the first show and reservations after that were for the second show. It was the first time that I had ever heard of a Fantasmic pkg. for the second show. Maybe Christmas week is an exception to the rule.

Yvonne,
thanks for the review of MM. I had decided to do the fantasmic package. I wasn't sure where to go you helped weed out MM. HAV is where I decided to go. We are traveling with our sons so noise very much a part of my life lol. Thanks for the help.

Have a magical day,
Anna

Bad news though was that for the most part the food was awful. We didn't want to do H and V again because of the loud atmosphere but we won't go back to MM (and we are very easy going).

Can this still be part of the Disney Dining pkg. No one seems to have mentioned that and I'm new to this board...

I've read a bunch of these posts...if you had kids ages 7,6 & 3 and you were going the first week in December would you use DP and book this pkg or would you just eat at one of the other resturants and take a chance about getting in on the regular line? My concern "is it worth it with little ones to go in early..not sure my DD - 3 will last that long". Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Here are my thoughts, not quite what they are worth lol, I've never been to the show. The last time we were at MGM 5/02 I wasn't waiting 2 hours to see the show. This time, going back in May, I am doing the Fantasmic Dinner Plan just so I can go to the show. I would be concerned about having children that young waiting so long (they get ants in their pants lol), it is why I didn't do it last time, though I really wanted to see the show. I heard it's great!

Have a magical day,
Anna

What are the entrees that are offered on the Fantasmic Dinner Package menu at Mama Melrose? Can you order any entree you want from the regular menu or are you limited?

Sorry if Already Answered Somewhere....
But Quick Questions.....When Can We Call and reserve the Fantasmic Dinner Package ??
We have the Disney Dining Plan and Decided We Want to Eat at Mama Melrose and use just 1 TS credit, We are going in November. :confused3 :wave2:

I believe it's like the rest of the dining 180 days in advance.

When I ate at Mama Melrose for the Fantasmic Dinner Package is was OOP and the menu was a separate menu but it was plentiful. There were several things to choose from in each catagory. My husband added a soup and he was so full in the end that he could not eat his desert. This trip in May will be our first on the DDP but I'm hoping it's the same, the food is really good. I got Chicken Parmesan and it was huge. The desert I got that day was priced at $6.50 on the reg. menu and it was part of the package so I feel that I really came out ahead. The first time we saw Fantasmic, we waited in line for 2 hours, we did not know about the dinner package. I would find one somewhere.

Does anyone know what the "limited" menu items are at Mama Melrose? I am debating whether to do the MM or H&V, and it will be based on what MM will let us choose.

46 days and counting :woohoo:  :cheer2:

We're booked to be in WDW 4/25-5/4/06. I just booked most of our meals. We're using the Dining Plan. Last year (1st as adults w/ our own kids) we actually missed EVERY SINGLE FIREWORKS DISPLAY AND PARADE. No joke. This year I've already booked an early dinner @ H&V. Did I pick the right one? We've got 14yo DB & 8yo DG. Thanks for any input!'

PS. How can I get the Disney countdown clock on my messages?

We prefer Mama Melrose over HV, they changed the menu a few years back and we just don't really care for it now. It use to be much better. I think All Ears has the menus listed but I have not looked it up, I read it somewhere. maybe someone else will answer. :tink: :tink: :tink:

We have been researching dining for ages and "YES" allearsnet.com has all the menu items listed!! What a great site!!! I don't know what to do re the ressies!? for fantasmic....book....don't book...? I guess I'll weigh it!!

Where on allearsnet does it have Mama Melrose's choice of entrees for the Fantasmic Dinner package? All I could find is that is says you have a choice of entrees. It does not say what the entrees are. It also has the full menu from Mama Melrose but you cannot order from the full menu of entrees for the Fantasmic Dinner Package.

Does anyone know which Mama Melrose entrees are offered for the Fantasmic Dinner package?

OOPS!! blush*blush* my blunder!! I didn't realize that that was what was asked....however I have had HUGE luck with help from the CM's at Ressie re this stuff? Just an idea.
