For our May trip we were thinking of eating at the Brown Derby for the Fantasmic package. Does anyone know what the fixed menu is at the BD with this package? Also, how long does it usually take to eat an unrushed meal? We're making the reservation this week and we aren't sure what time we'll need.

Thanks!!!
We ate there on our trip last February and, at that time, there was no fixed menu. They have GREAT steaks, by the way.
We were not using the package, but had a discount LUNCH voucher and made our reservation for the LAST AVAILABLE lunch seating which was 3:30. Our waiter could not have been nicer. We were never rushed, even had desert and coffee. At the end of our meal he surprised us with a voucher to get into Fantasmic (the same one you get if you HAVE the package). One of our party was celebrating his 60th birthday, so this was the waiter's gift to him!
We were out of the restaurant by 4:45 and had time to do a little site-seeing & shopping before heading to the 'garage' where we were entertained by Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum for 15 minutes or so.
We were the first guests to line up for Fantasmic which was scheduled for 7:30 that night. They let us in at around 6:15 p.m. or so, even radioed ahead that we were 'the first guests of the evening' so we were treated like royalty and got our pick of seating once we entered the theatre area. What a lovely celebration! And it was all because Jim got a "It's my birthday today" button at guest services. Pixie Dust abounded due to that button!
So, in summary:
HBD is my personal favorite restaurant at MGM;
The food is splended and the service very professional;
It is possible, even when busy, to get a great meal and be out in 1:30 hours or less;
The garage is right around the corner from this restaurant, so even if you are rushing, you should still be fine on time;
There really are NO BAD seats in the theatre, some are just better than others;
It is better (at least for us in the 50+ club) to sit toward the TOP;
CM's are VERY RESPONSIVE to polite requests;
Magic happens - many times a day - at WDW!
Have a great trip - and think of those of us stuck at our desks in middle-america

will ya?
