Fantasmic dining package

We have an ADR for the Fantasmic dining package... my question is, are we penalized in any way if some in our group don't go to Fantasmic? We will all eat dinner together, but there are some small children in our group, and they may not want to attend.

On a similar note, we will be there the last week in October... we were there the same time last year, and just walked in about 10 minutes before Fantasmic, no trouble getting a seat. But, they had a show every night. Now that they're only doing 2 shows the week we're there, what do you think our chances are of getting seats without the package?

You will not be penalized. You will need to show up at least 90 minutes before the show. There is no more special enterance for the Fantasmic Package and they do start filling up the "reserved" seats with other guests. There have been a lot of posts about people with the Fantasmic package who have not gotten into fantasmic.

When it's full, it's full and you won't be allowed in. Your best bet is to get in line at least 90 minutes prior to showtime.
