Hi, I am making my first ever trip to DL in 10 days!:yay:
We booked the Fanstasmic dining package at Blue Bayou for Dec. 12th. I just realized this is the first night this is offered. Do you think it will be a complete mess or that they will have a good plan and things will go smoothly? How have new things gone in the past? Our last night is the 13th and I tried to switch, but nothing was available. Hate to worry about the little things, just trying to make the trip as special as possible. thanks!

I think your guess is as good as anyone's. I have reservations too as well. We'll see.

My inclination is to say that there will probably be some confusion and uncertainty on everyone's part (guests and CMs) about what is supposed to happen. I would make sure you know what is supposed to be included in the dining package. That being said, I would also be flexible and patient with the CMs as they are also learning what is included, who goes where, and how everything is going to work.

Please keep me posted. I am eager for news. We are doing the Blue Bayou package on 12/15.

We've got the F! Grab and Go through Aladdin's Oasis booked for Dec 14. I'm also very curious how this whole thing will pan out.

Our first night of the trip is also on the 12th. We don't have dining plans so if we did F! it would be walk-up/FP. Fingers crossed.

So glad it will be all worked out before I ever need it. I am most interested in FP/Standby. Not putting money out for a meal I wouldn't have normally picked.

Whatever time they tell you to be at the viewing location. Be there 30 minutes before that. Also, ask them where the line starts to get into the viewing area.

I'm thinking about booking this grab and go package for lunch. But, I am weary that the 3 options they give you to choose from would not be ok. Do you recall what the options were?

4) Reserve a Fantasmic On the Go meal at Aladdin's Oasis

Similar to the World of Color picnics, the On the Go meal at Aladdin's Oasis offers a more flexible option for those who don't want to devote the time or money to one of the table service options.

Aladdin's Oasis will be open from Noon to 7 p.m. on Fantasmic nights, and customers select a pick up time when they make their reservation. Limited seating is available inside Aladdin's Oasis, or you can take your On the Go meal to any counter service restaurant seating area.

Adult entree options include choice of:

Herb marinated chicken breast with vegetables
Lasagna Bolognese
Vegetarian lasagna

Adult meals are served with mixed greens, a dinner roll and marble cheesecake for dessert. The package includes choice of beverage.

Children's entree options include choice of:

Grilled chicken
Spaghetti
Macaroni and cheese

Children's meals are served with vegetables and a cookie. The package includes choice of beverage.

This location can accommodate many dietary restrictions – be sure to note your restrictions when you make the reservation, and ask to speak with a manager or chef when you arrive to discuss specifics.

The cost is $19.99 for adults, $13.99 for ages 3-9. Tax and gratuity are not included. Premium and Premier passholders receive a 15% discount; all other passes receive a 10% discount.

Guests who purchase this package will receive a Fastpass ticket for the show, but we do not know if there is a separate section reserved for the Aladdin's package, or if they will be mixed with the general Fastpass viewing.

Honestly, unless you can't get a FP in the morning or you WANT the food offered with the grab & go, I see no benefit to it.

Thanks for the info.

I will be going during a peek time period and yes, I'm a bit worried about getting a FP in the morning.

A side question, which will help me make up my mind. It is my understanding that I can't get another FP until an hour after the one I have now is up. If you get a FP for Fantasmic......then wouldn't that limit you to getting other FPs for the remainder of the day?

I don't think the Fantasmic FPs affect your ability to get others (like WOC). I'm sure someone will confirm that for me.

But I do know your statement about other FPs is wrong. You can pull another FP (regular attraction FPs) 2 hours after you pulled the last one, or when the window opens on the prior one, whichever is sooner.

Fantasmic fp is seperate. It does not affect your ability to pull ride fps.

Fantasmic, WoC, Frozen FPs are not true Fast Passes. They are Show Tickets (or return passes). They do not affect your ability to get other FP's.

You are not getting anything FASTER with these, just getting entrance to a show / M&G.

And if it helps you decide there is no reserved section for grab and go,mit's just a blue or yellow or green fp, so you'll be mixed in with the general population, no benefit unless you can't get there to get a FP
