Fantasmic Dining package availabilty ?

My 180 day + 10 was this morning, so I was on the computer at 3 am (my time) with a cup of coffee. I was able to get most of what I wanted for my ADRs I am about 185 days out from when we wanted to see Fantasmic. When I logged on, my choices were Mama Melrose at 3:00 or H & V at 4:55. Since we are planning on going to HS that day just for dinner and F!, I took the H & V ressie. The reviews of H & V are pretty bad, so I was wondering what the chances of Mama Melrose opening up? Do they release more seats as we get closer to the day? This is my first time to WDW so any advice would be welcome--thanks!

We are doing Mama Melroses for the F! package on 5/28. The latest reservation I could get on my 180 day was either 3:30 or 4. I decided on lunch, instead of dinner, at 2 pm. Reservations for dinner for the F! packages aren't usually any later than 4 pm. It's really early to eat dinner, so I booked lunch. I called to change some ressie a couple of weeks ago and asked them to check Mama's availability for dinner and it was booked. Probably not likely that the closer it gets, more tables will open up. BTW, we ate at H&V last trip and it was gross!!

our 180 + 10 is today also, i couldnt get any fantasmic for mama melrose, they could only get me brown derby, which we do not like. Our last trip we ate at h&w and it was fantastic!! we would def eat there again.

On my 180th day, I made all my ressies and couldn't get a decent dinner time for FP. I took the 3:10 and kept checking online. About 2 months later, I found a 4:30 and then a week later, I was really happy to find a 5:00. Make a PS and keep checking.
