There are 2 things you can do correct? One is the Dessert Buffet for $47.00, the other is Priority Seating where you get a box of chocolates and soda/water for ????

I want to do one of them but would like to know the pros and cons... This is DS's first time and I would like to do something so he can see the show from a good spot. The PS with the 100 other people sounds great but I'd like to know if it's on bleachers or what...

Someone help.... I"m so confused! Thanks

We just did the balcony one the end of July and it was the best money I spent during the whole vacation. I called right when they opened 30 days ahead and therefore we got to sit in the front row. The deserts are WONDERFUL and plentiful, they served unlimited drinks, and they let us stay afterwards for the fireworks. Go for the balcony!

I believe both options are $47, so if I was going to do one I would try the Balcony first and then if you couldn't get that then do the "reserved" seating.

The seatings for the reserved seating are folding chairs, on the Haunted Mansion side of the rivers. So while you won't have to worry about sitting on the ground or where you will be sitting it is an "off center" view of the show. I have no clue in what is offered in the way "desserts" for the reserved seating.

The balcony is great, but the reserved seating was good, too.

One thing I noticed this year - people were nabbing the viewing spots for Fantasmic! over 3 hours in advance. Many unattended blankets and such - it looked horrible. I had a mind to puck up unattended items and toss them into lost and found.

The box contained various sweet treats including chocolate covered strawberries . The ability to stay (at the early show) and watch fireworks was a definite plus.

I was not bothered at all by being "off center" - but then again, when I go to movies I usually sit on the side as well (less chance of being disturbed by the bladder impaired.

I remember the first year Fantasmic began showing. People were staking out spots along the river in the middle of the afternoon. That's just a little too much for me. We have done the balcony twice over the years (it was a little cheaper then). We did the front row one time and the second row the other time. If you don't mind paying the high price for the privilege, it is a very nice way to view Fantasmic.

I can see the value for the balcony since you get an unobstructed view, but the ground level seating doesn't look worth the money to me. We sat directly in front of the "reserved" seats last trip by attending the 2nd showing and getting there just after the first show had exited (waited about 40 minutes).

The balcony is nice, but highly overrated unless you get one of the ten seats in the front row. Seats behind them don't have nearly as nice a view.

Can someone refresh my memory and tell me how to get reservations for either of these viewing opportunities. The last time we did the Fantasmic dessert balcony view was years ago and I remember DH got up at the crack of dawn and sat outside the guest relations booth. Is it different now, you can call? Thanks for any info.

You can call disneyland reservations for the dessert buffet. You can call up to 60 days in advance. Forgive me but I'm at a total loss for the dining # but you can call 1-714-956-mickey and they'll transfer you.

 Tina who is upset with herself for not knowing the dang #

the dining number is:

Have fun. We have been to the fantasmic dessert buffet on two separate occasions and each time we have had an unforgettable experience. The view from the balcony is incomparable. There is no better seat in the house, especially since you have the distinct pleasure of being able to indulge in rich desserts and yummy fruit while viewing Fantasmic!!!

I was there the evening Fantasmic!! debuted in 1992. So it holds very special meaning to me.

We just did the Fantasmic seating on 8/28. It was wonderful, although I was just a tad bit disappointed in our seats....I mean the slightest bit. We (2 of us) were kid of shoved off to the right side (so much so that I was nearly sitting in the planter on that side. I had read that there was only seating on the balcony for 14, but there were 17 there....so I wonder if they over-booked it or something. We were not the last to be called, so I know that we did not get the last seats. Other than that, the food was great, the mint juleps kept coming and I couldn't have been happier! Would I do it again.....probably, but I'd have to make sure to be on the line first thing 30 days ahead!
