I just got off the phone with Disney. They checked the calendar and stated that Fantasmic is still running when I am scheduled to go on May 7th.

If they are saying it will run on May 7 itself I think you got incorrect information. The whole area will be packed with bleachers and movie screens.

I personally have not seen any information about Fantasmic being down in May. If someone has please post it.

You cannot go with the DLR calendar this far in advance because entertainment does not get scheduled for awhile. Plus F! will not be during weeknights. And for the first weekend of May it will likely not be scheduled anyways because of the POTC 4 premiere.

Yes, they actually told me that Fantasmic would be running on May 7th. I just don't understand why you can call Disney and ask the same question multiple times and you will get multiple answers. I was told on Saturday that I am eligible for the free dining when I go but that my travel agent had to call back to apply the offer since I schedule through travel agency. Today my agent called and was told that it wasn't available to me. I even had the name of the Disney person that I talked to. I am so confused.

Edit: I think I may have misunderstood. I am talking about WDW not DL.

We will be arriving April 30th and leaving May 7th so hopefully we will have time to get things done before they start the preparations for May 7th. No matter what I am sure we will have a great trip we just need to get there. I wish we had been able to wait on the commitment to our vacation, but there is no way that my work would have let me make a decision to be gone for a week with less than 2 months notice. So we did our best guess and we will make it work and hopefully the amount of stuff that is down will be manageable.

I'm glad to hear that! I'm not going to listen to any more rumors...we'll just show up at DLR and enjoiy whatever is open All this refurb talk gives me heartburn!

I know what you mean, to be honest there isnt much closed during this time and with hundreds of things to do you wont notice at all. I am just going to enjoy myself.
