We are going to Disney Nov 5-12. Some wonderful person here helped me find the calendar of events so we could plan our days at the parks. There are 10 of us going - me, dh, dd 6, ds 4, dd 1, mom, dad, db, sil, niece - 2. We have rented a house so we aren't planning to do the parks everyday. We thought the kids might be well served with an off day in between. We are buying 4 day MYW tickets (non-hoppers). So, anyway, I searched the calendars for the week we are there and I see no mention of Fantasmic! at all! I thought it would be offered at least once a week! Do they skip some dates?

Generally not, but Sunday and Tuesday night is generally EMH for MGM, and there's two showings, so that might be the least crowded night for it, since resort guests will do other attractions and see the later showing of it.
Disney doesn't put the times out until like the month of. But don't get too overwhelmed, they don't change much. Although as you do get into value season, they cut some showings periodically. Like the last time we were there, they didn't have the spectro magic parade, but still set off Wishes.

I don't remember Disney having Fantasmic dark for any significant number of days in a row, since it has opened, which surprises me greatly. Eventually, the theater will need a more significant rehab than can be performed when the show goes on every night, but I haven't heard that that's happening yet.

Fantasmic is held each night, there seems to be a problem with the WDW site, and the times for Fantasmic for November seemed to have disappeared as well as the hours for December.
Here is link that will be helpful http://www.mgmstudios.org/hours/

Thanks for your replies! I guess I can assume that there will be a showing of Fantasmic on Wednesday, the day we plan to do MGM!

I went to Disney in 2003 and this is one of the things we missed. If my kids are up for it, I would like to catch it this time around. We will have 2 cars so we figured some of the group could go back to the room if they didn't want to stay!

Short of it being cancelled for rain or rehab, there is always a showing of Fantasmic at least once per night

Thanks for the link helenk
