Fantasmic and going alone with younger kids?

Has anyone gone alone (without the husband) with younger children or do you not recommend this? I am worried about standing in line for a seat and them having to use the rest room constantly. Once you get a seat is it possible your neigbor would hold your seat for a few minutes or should i bring something to put on the seats so someone would know they were taken??? I dont think i want to do the dining package because dining times are too early and not to my liking. I would really like to eat at Sci-Fi at the time i want beforehand so there isnt such a big amount of time waiting inbetween.

Does anyone have any experience in this case or can give me some tips?

I went with my then 11yo DS a few years ago & we had a great time. I don't remember worrying about bathroom breaks, I think we just scheduled them in. For example, before Fantasmic, I think we just made sure to go ahead of time, but if we did have to get up, I wouldn't think anything about asking those around me to reserve our seats for us. I guess if we were waiting in line & had to take a potty break, I would just take him out & lose our place. That's just how it goes.

I am going again this July with my 5yo DS & have no reservations about it being just the two of us.

I was thinking about this exact thing. With the long waits now, even if we did use the restroom before getting in line, DS may need to go before the show would start. All I could think of would be to ask your neighbor to hold your space or maybe see if a CM could help.

I know i think the only thing to do would be to have something (not of value to put on the seats) and to ask the neighbor if they would keep watch. My daughter has Type 1 diabetes also so when her blood sugars are high she sometimes has to make more trips than usual to the rest room. I had asked my DH if he had any interest in going and he said no which is probably for the best. I would think that if i explained to someone i was sitting next to they wouldnt have a problem to do that for us.
