fantasmic and fireworks on new year's eve

the third fantasmic show is scheduled for 11:59 pm, same time as the fireworks, how does this work? do they really go on at the same time??

They do that to keep the F! showing technically on the same operating day as the 31st as the park is rarely open past midnight. If they have it at 12:05a it screws up all the scheduling programs and calendars as it is technically the next day. It will be the NYE fireworks show followed by F! after that is over.
