which would you do? I have used the fannypacks in the past, but plan on throwing caution to the wind on the water type rides and wanted to have some dry shorts???

Otherwise, what are some nice looking quick drying shorts???

TIA!!!

one fannypack per person is good for small things (if you plan on not taking much to the parks) and a backpack is good for the whole family, holding dry clothes, sunscreen, autograph books, ect.

I got one small & one large messenger bags from Disney Store online. I LOVE them...they are large enought to hold plenty of stuff, but not so large that I OVERstuff them like I used to do with the backpack. I also have bad shoulders & it's more comfy for me to use than a backpack. :) They have lots of inside pockets & two mesh bottle holders for drinks...love them!

Will you have a stroller? I wear a small fanny pack with the essentials (tix, camera, room card, cell phone) and then we hang a backpack from the stroller with things in it that can stay on the stroller while we are on the rides. Its cheap and if anyone were to steal it they wouldn't get much. That way you aren't carrying a bulky backpack everywhere you go but have that extra room.

I used to use a fanny pack but switched to a small Eastport back pack last year and I liked it a lot more. I paid about $7 for it at Walmart and it's still in good shape for this year's trip. It's small enough that I don't overload it, but fits our ponchos and has two waterbottle mesh holders on the sides.

I do exactly what lucigo does. Fanny pack for camera, phone, money, tickets, and bag over the stroller for anything else. I don't like to have bags hanging on my back in the heat and it doesn't bother in the least me if people like DVCsince02 think I look silly ;) ! It's all about comfort and convienence so that I can enjoy my trip! If I didn't have the stroller, I would have everyone in my party wear a fanny pack so that we wouldn't have to lug a backback in the heat!

You are all making me laugh... :rotfl:

I usually do the fanny pack. I don't really care how I look to others, as long as I have what I need. I was just debating the purchase of a backpack for the parks. Only problem is that I would be the one to lug everything around (not DH and DD6 is too small)!!!:scared1:

I never thought of getting DD6 her OWN fannypack...she would feel very important though!!! :rolleyes1

I got a Vera Bradley "lg backpack" on line for a super price! I got it in the mail yesterday and it is the perfect size for all the things I like to carry around the world...and OH so Cute!!

We just bought DD 6 a fannypack yesterday. I considered waiting until we get to DLR to buy a fun one but she was happy with the $5 black one from Wal Mart. She had to "test" it out yesterday after we got home from the store. LOL I'll let her keep snacks, some coins, sunglasses and her autograph book & pen in it. I'll use a small purse for my essentials and valuables. When she used a stroller, we took a small backpack as well with a change of clothes for her and an extra tee for me. I'm actually considering getting the free stroller (with Disney Visa) when we're at DLR just so we have a place to leave water bottles and such while we're on rides. LOL

I do both.

Fannypack is for my park pass, room key, money, ID, cell phone, sunglasses, lip balm, sanitizer etc....

Backpack is when we need to bring stuff like water bottles, ponchos, video camera etc...

We just put the backpack between our legs on rides.

My dh got a fanny pack the other day and I just ordered one of those personalized smaller sized messenger bags from Disney. They only have a few colors left, but it was adorable and I couldn't pass it up. We have a smaller sized back pack that we bought on our last trip to WDW...and we were going to use that, but the messenger bag will hold more. HOwever, I have now just cursed myself with carrying it all the time by using hot pink stitching and putting my name on it. :rotfl:
