Fanny Pack Phobia

I have used the dreaded fanny pack in the past. I also have the Donner bag mentioned earlier in the thread - which I love on days when I find I have to carry just a little more (rain poncho as a good example). In general, we're of the "try not to carry anything at all" camp when it comes to the parks.

That said, I've recently purchased this bag (in black) from QVC that I'm anxious to try out on our trip next week. It's smaller than the Donner bag but just big enough for my camera and has interior slots for cards and park tickets. I used it on a trip to the state fair last week and it worked out great!

Hmm, I like the looks of this one. I've been through 3 Baggallinis, and had to return all of them because the stitching came undone within a week :sad2: - one of them I even received that way. I used one strictly for MF last year, and on the 2nd day it came apart :confused3 I really liked that one, too.

Hmm. The QVC bag looks like something that might work for me. I've already discovered that my fanny pack won't hold the big spray bottle of sunscreen, camera, cards, and phone. Good excuse to buy something new!

Well I am trying to think back to my last two trips to Disney in the past 2 years. The first time I just carried a small back pack. The second time I was smart, I made my fiance carry my stuff in his back-pack. :rotfl2:

I carry a large nylon tote bag that I bought at Animal Kingdom a few years ago. It is large enough for all my stuff, and is comfortable to carry. Plus, it has the super cute Winnie the Pooh, "Tigger is that you?" logo. I get comments on it all the time, especially at Disneyland!

I've tried baggallini's, backpacks, and every other carrier you can name. I always go back to my dorky fanny pack. It's ideal, my hands are free, I push it to my hip when I get on rides, it never comes off or gets lost. I don't care anymore how unfashionable I look, have you seen what other people wear to the parks? I don't worry about my fanny pack anymore!

I loved walking around with my old, beat-up backpack. It was perfect for carrying everything I needed, and I was surprised that I could take it on all the rides. For rides like the Rock n Roller Coaster, I simply put it at my feet and wrapped one of my legs through the strap.

I liked the concept of sling bags. But didn't like that only one should would be getting all the weight. I like to swap shoulders.
