Fancy place to eat?

We'll be in the park around Valentine's day, when we would normally have a fancy, sit-down dinner. If we were at WDW we'd be at California Grill, Yachtsman Steakhouse, Le Cellier, etc. Is there a US/IoA equivalent? We already have Toothsome Chocolate Company on our list, no other plans.

Does US do anything for Valentine's day?

On site resort restaurants (you can take the boat from citywalk). Emeri'ls Tchop Tchop (Royal Pacific), Mamma Della's (Portofino which is the most "romantic" hotel), Bice (also Portofino which is the most "romantic" hotel), the Palm at the Hard rock are ones I can think of offhand. There's also the Luau at Royal Pacific on Saturdays https://www.universalorlando.com/Events/Hotel-Events.aspx

If you want it romantic, yeah, go over to a Portofino restaurant...that place is awesome...might want to just get your room there.

The Palm at Hard Rock and BICE Ristorante at Portofino.

Go online at Universal Orlando and you can look up the restaurants and what they have on the menu. Also give them a call and ask about anything special they do for Valentines Day. Probably would not hurt to put in your reservation just in case they get busy for that day.

I'm going through the same dilemma, only high-price steakhouses are out for me (so no Palm).

For me now it's between Vivo Italian Kitchen at CityWalk, or possibly The Kitchen at HRH. I've read that The Kitchen is very bright inside, though, and they have a kids' play area, so ... most likely Vivo. Mama Della's was in the running but they have roaming bands of singers and I hate having my table conversation interrupted.

If I were more sophisticated when it comes to Italian food, it would have been Bice.

...I've never been wowed by any Emeril's restaurant, but I wonder if they'll have a special VDay menu.

I'd kill for a good French bistro on site.

EDITED TO ADD: Well, hold the phone. I had another look at Emeril's and realized they have two New Orleans favorites my significant other loves, shrimp and grits, and bread pudding. So I'm gonna make the sacrifice for him. They didn't have a lot of time slots left and require a CC to hold the reservation.

Thanks! It's been about 13 years since I was at the Emeril's Orlando, and a few years since I was at one of his NOLA restaurants (not the flagship, but one closer to Jackson Square). I don't remember much about either, which to me means they didn't blow me away. (Example, I remember every dish I had at Muriel's on the same NOLA trip). I might have just not ordered well.

Anyway, looking forward it.

We just ate there Saturday night and LOVED IT! Service, entertainment, staff, everything. I would recommend without hesitation too.
