Fan Club Card

Eating at the Hotels are more expensive than at Disney hotels, Emeralds is nice but you have to make reservations and dress up (We don't go there because I am allergic to cilantro and they love it there)

There are some nice restaraunts on Citiwalk too, some of them even take the fan club discount card.

There is a nice restaraunt across from Atlantis in IOA (We like sit down restaraunts) that had fairly good food, but the service we had was marginal (It seemed like the other tables were getting much better service, so it was our waiter) again, the food is OK in the parks (The Coffee is better than at Epcot...). The pricing is substantially higher.

Thanks for the quick reply. We only went a half day to US last time. My husband would like to spend more time there this time.

Not nitpicking, just wanted to help with the names!
I just wanted to say that I think ohanafamily meant Emerils at City Walk. Honestly they dont require you to dress up. Attire is casual, no tank tops for men. You do need a reservation, most times. We ate there once and I never felt the need to repeat it. The new one in RP Tchoup Chop has some terrific food at reasonable prices.

There isnt an Atlantis in IOA, maybe you meant Poseidons Fury or Sinbad? I think maybe Mythos was the place you ate at. Great food! Beautiful atmosphere. The daily risotto is always yummy and the warm gooey banana cake it a wonderful ending to a delicious meal. Excellent kids meals also.

For my family we do not find the prices to be higher at all. They are either comparitive or a better value at USF. Hotels included. But of course only when comparing same type restaurants. Disney does offer at some of their hotels food court types and Universal doesnt. City Walk prices are terrific! I have always been amazed at the $'s of kids meals where ever we ate. A Big Kids meal at BK costs us the same!

JessicaR, you are right, the restaraunts were Emerils and Mythos. DW corrected me. I am bad about names.

We have never eaten at Emerils, but were told it was good.

We found the hotel restaraunts 20-60% higher than comparable at disney.

We also found the food courts to be 15-30% higher. But that was a year ago, I understand Disney is cutting back.

Hi Tinkerbarb,
I don't know if you are still doing this or not but I sent you an e-mail too!
Thanks so much!:D

Can you believe that there are people selling Fan Club Cards on Ebay??!! and not the new ones either. There is a person selling the old cards (which are still good, but no bar code), and someone else selling the new ones. That just makes me sick. I pray to you know who that no one is running a scam on the good folks here at the Dis.

Hi Everyone!

I'm really confused as to how to get a Fan Club Card. Can someone help me out?

Thanks :)

Teresa

Teresa, all you have to do is send an e-mail to the kind and gracious tinkerbarb with your true name and address. By the magic of the United States Mail, one will arrive in a short time.

tinkerbarb does this because of her general virtue; please make sure to thank her.

Hi Tinkerbarb,

I also have sent you an email. I already have a Fan Club card. My problem is that the barcode on my card doesn't work with the Universal Fan Club website. Thanks for your help!:D

Tinkerbarb,
I sent you an email too. You are so cool to do this for people out of the goodness of your heart. It is very much appreciated.
