Hello fellow Disers!
We are celebrating our marriage with a familymoon in Disney this December (17th-23rd). It will be me (34), STBDH (40) and my 3 boys (5,7 and 9 at time of travel). This is also the kid's 1st trip!:cool1: We'll also be celebrating my 35th bday.
We are so excited! The boys will be totally pumped when we tell them later this month! They always cite "Disney" as the one place they really want to go.
Should I let the resorts (AKL and Poly) know what events are going on for our family and why we've come? We have the DlxDP, so we're headed to some nice restaurants and the reservationist said she'd note my bday on our Narcooses ressie.
We're not the traditional honeymooners, but we'd like to wear the buttons if it's still apprpriate. May I wear 2, 1 for honeymoooning and 1 for my birthday, or is that overkill?
TIA!!!!:worship:

I think I will! Thanks for the vote of confidence. I'd love any advice or input from others who have done a Disney Familymoon. :goodvibes

A lot of the women on here have done them. You guys will have a blast. Half our honeymoon was spent with our family and we had so much fun!

IMHO - I think you should wear both! :thumbsup2 I have only worn one, the Birthday one. I usually go every year for my birthday, but didn't this year and I missed it. They really make your b-day special. I don't know about the h-moon, but I'll wear mine when I'm on it!

One of the main reasons I chose to have a WDW wedding is the fact that I can go into WDW with my family. I have 2 nieces - one is 10 and the other one is 6 and have another one coming (Next Tuesday - Isabella Grace!!). They've never been there, and I would love to be there with them. :)

I'm sure you're going to have a great time with your family! :goodvibes

Congrat's! The FamilyMoon idea is a great one. When DW and I got married 9 years ago we blended two families and took a familymoon to WDW with three teenagers! :grouphug: It was the best trip ever - the kids and adults got some good bonding time and we've been one big happy (most of the time) family since. The "kids" are now adults and have started to give us grandkids at this point, so in 2010 we are planning a "second familymoon" at a DVC Grand Villa - going to be so cool to see where we are from where we came and to introduce the third generation to the Magic!

Have fun and best wishes! :wizard:

ohohohoh!!!!

i just did a BIG familiversary!!!!:lmao:

it was our 10yr anniversary & DHs nieces bday & our DDs 1st BIG trip along with the ILs 1st trip!!

i informed the resort & al our ADRs of our celebration & had a ton of fun things planned

& YES..we wore our buttons & i made a sweater(it was chilly at night) that said "I was a disney bride December 4 1997" & i made my DD a blingy hat that i ended up wearing....we went ALL out & why not ...it IS the happiest place on earth...i say GO for it & make it the most MEMORABLE trip for your kids!!!!!

Your plans sound great!!! You will love the POLY :)

You all have gotten me even more excited, if that's possible! I really hope that this will be a huge memory-maker and bonding time for our family! I 'll fill you in after we return. Thanks for all of the advice and encouragement. Natalie

We are leaving tomorrow for our familymoon. We also have a blended family of 6 children (mine DD 22, DS 24, DS 17 and DS 10) DH has DD17 who lives in Florida with her mom. We also have our little princess Laci Bella who just turned 4.(We were married on July 15, 2008) DH has never been to Disney and doesn't understand all the fuss:confused3 or the need for a family honeymoon!!! We are only bringing the youngest 2 DS 10 and DD 4 as everyone else is in college or busy. My husband is with the National Guard and will be leaving on Sept 4 to be on standby for deployment in Jan. I'm hoping to make this a vacation to remember for all of us. I plan on asking about the just married buttons but didn't know that we would be married when I made our ADR's. Any suggestions on making this a familymoon to remember. I'm already missing him and he's not even left yet!!!!!!!!

:cool1: For a Familymoon! We got married at WDW in June and had our Familymoon--

I would wear both buttons and have it mentioned on your ADR's--We did not wear bride and groom ears but the pins got us plenty of attention!
