We are staying at Copper Creek in March. We have family we don’t see very often there at the same time, but they are staying at All Stars. If they give our reservation number to the guard at the gate, can they visit us on a non resort day?

They can visit with you but they cannot use the pool. All other areas of the resort (restaurants, lounges, etc) can be enjoyed by them just like any other non-resort guest.

Just out of curiosity, how would anybody know if your guest visiting used the pool with you?
Well, when I stayed at CCV a couple of years ago, the lifeguard actually went around with an iPad, scanned everyone's MB and asked for names and where we were staying. This was after using a MB in order to open the pool gate for access.

I agree with the pool policy. We have a three bedroom grand villa, and thought it would be nice for them to visit and maybe have a meal.
You shouldn't have any problems. Give your visiting family your room number and have them tell the guard at the gate that they are visiting you. The guard will look up the name and room number to verify that you're a guest at CCV and then allow them in.

It should not be a problem. For our August trip we had family who met us at the WL everyday. They gave our name and room number to the security guard at the gate. Not once in 10 days was there an issue. Enjoy the time with your family!

At Beach Club in August they posted up multiple CMs by each gate with iPads to make sure you were booked at the hotel using your magic band or room key and then they give you a speical wristband to wear for that day. It's like entering a nightclub!

At Coronado Springs this month, I didn't go to the main pool to swim but I did pop in to get towels. No one was posted up at the gate. There were a couple of lifeguards though. Perhaps they did what the previous poster wrote (walked around and checked in new guests with an iPad after they were settled into their chairs). However at the other pools at Coronado Springs (i.e. not the "main" Digsite pool but the basic/quieter ones) I didn't see anyone checking anyone in nor did I see lifeguards. However January is winter and if it were summer perhaps there'd be more swimmers and more staff checking.

Not sure how it's handled at other hotels.

Not specifically at Copper Creek, but if my parents stay at one resort and I stay at another -- would my mother be able to stop by the room? (both would be on-property Disney resorts like All-Star for them and Wilderness Lodge for us). Example would be if my wife and I wanted to go out for a late night together and leave the kids with them.

It should not be a problem for her to babysit in your room. There are (were?) babysitting services that do this all of the time. The only issue would be transportation back to her resort when you return. I don't know if she would be comfortable with a rideshare service late at night. But if you have a car (and haven't been drinking) you could take her back to her room yourself.

Thank you for the reply. I appreciate the insight. I do see that it also looks like the in-room babysitting services are in fact still there and available (at least at this time). It's called "Kid's Night Out" for anyone else looking.

When we stayed at Beach Club in 2019, we were told it was fine for our son and family to visit (they were locals) and use the quiet pool with us, but not the big pool where they were checking wrist bands.

They were allowed to visit and use the pools with us at the Grand Floridian and Contemporary.
I think the front desk gave us "Day passes"?
