Family Vacation Question

Traveling to Disney with my entire family Sept 27 thru Oct 4 including in-laws and grandmother. I am trying to make the experience as magical as possible for everyone including my 2 yr old daughter . Does anyone have any advise on upgrading our 2bedroom villa at SSR to a 3 bedroom at no cost?

If I had to bet on it, I would say it's not gonna happen. First of all you are within the 7 month period when all DVC members can book at any resort and GVs (3 bedroom) go fast. Plus that is the first week of the Food & Wine Fest. I would think you would be hard put to get a GV at this point for any amount of money, let alone for no cost.

2nd, upgrades are rare for the DVC resorts because all the rooms are technically spoken for. It's not like a hotel where there are unused rooms that will likely go empty.There have been a few occasions of upgrades, but they have usually been caused by a burst pipe or some other repair issue that caused the original room to be unavailable.

If you think you will need extra room you might look into reserving another Studio. They are usually good about getting rooms for family members fairly close to each other.

Is your reservation through DVC or through CRO? If it is through DVC, there is almost NO chance of an upgrade, because it would require more points. If it is with CRO, there might be a slight chance if there are no rooms available in your catagory for some mysterious reason. At SSR, this is highly unlikely.
