I am just starting to plan a trip for next year. At the time we travel my DS's will be 13, 11, and 7 years old.

I have narrowed our resort choices to either 2 rooms at POP or one room with a trundle bed at POR.

Any opinions???

GO FOR THE TWO ROOMS!! you will appreciate the extra space, the second bathroom, and most of all (imo) is the second TV! we're only a family of four, but we have booked two rooms at pop for just those reasons! we spent our last trip in cbr, and my 18yo niece joined us for two nights and it was CROWDED! (had a rollaway bed) uncomfortably so!

It's a toss up. Your kids will think the pool at POR is so much better. We stayed there twice when my boys were a little older than yours. Is going to a pool at all a special treat or a regular thing at your house? We have a neighborhood pool, so my family wants more than just theming (i.e., slide and hot tub) at a resort.

Last year we did two rooms at a value for the first time, and my family made sure I knew how much they hated it. That is comparing with a deluxe though instead of POR, so it's not exactly the same.

Has your family stayed all in one hotel room before? How did it work?

I too would do 2 rooms since your children are old enough to be seperated from you.
We are also a party of 5 but our youngest is still an infant and we can still squeeze into a normal sized room. I have wondered about our future trips and rooms arrangements too and the only thing I think we can do is either 2 rooms at a value or off site....and I am too spoiled to go off-site. :teeth:
Good luck and have fun!

As much as I love POR, I would have to agree with some of the above posts and say go for the 2 rooms. Have a 2nd bathroom and TV would really be convenient!!!!!!:)

We are also a family of five, and have done both options. We really like the atmosphere of POR, but my youngest son, who was 5 thought the trundle was neat, but he always got into bed with the other two because it was really uncomfortable.

If you like to sit around at night and relax while the kids are in bed for an hour or so, two rooms are great!

My vote is for two rooms!

:wave2:

Thanks for all of your help. I am pretty sure that we are going to go with the 2 rooms at POP.
