Hi All-

In reading all of the posts about Emmagrammy's family and the horror that has been visited upon them, I realized that we don't know the extent of the damage to their physical property. If anyone knows, are David (I believe that is the son-in-law's name) and Sophie (WHEN SHE RECOVERS - because she is going to) in need of clothes? If so, can we get together some things to be sent to them, at least for the short term? If anyone knows, please let us know what they need and how to get it to them.

Thanks-
Erin :D

My niece is just over 4 1/2 months with more clothes than she needs. I can get some clothes for Sophie to them ASAP.

Please let us know if anyone has any info.

Please let us know if there is a fund being set up for their family....I'm sure they will be in need of that help. I can't stop thinking of their family, even though I don't know them personally.

Ditto on the clothes for little Sophie.....if anyone finds out any needs I can ship ASAP.

On one of the news reports I read today (through a link here on one of the threads), Sophie was in serious condition but expected to recover. I also read that there was about $25,000 in damage to the house, and it started in the computer desk area on the first floor near the kitchen. So I would assume most of the clothes would have smoke damage to it. If anyone lives in their area, perhaps they can get more info to us.

I would like to know if there is a fund or maybe we could send
gift cards from Target or Walmart. Any little way to send some
help for this sad sad time.

Since Amanda worked at a bank, I would think that would be the place that would set up any type of fund. According to the news accounts, she worked at ESB Bank in New Castle. The number there is (724) 654-7781.

Friends, I talked to Amada's sister, Jessica. Sophie is doing a little better but still Stable, Critical and needs our prayers. Jessica is going to check with Mike and get back to me about what the friends on the Boards can do to help.

When I get an answer, I'll post it.

Can someone please refresh my memory as to where their family is located?

Count me in for giving little Sophie clothes. I have a bunch from my DD and most she never wore that I could send.

Count me in on doing whatever can be done to help out!!!!!!let me know if there is a fund set up. thanks nana2tots

I would like to help out too. Hopefully someone close to the family can let us know what is best.

Please let us know what we can do to help.

I spoke with the funeral home and the viewing is Tuesday with the Service on Wednesday. Until I hear more, the most effective thing we can do is pray for their comfort and for Sophie's recovery.

I will watch the news tonight and check for where donations can be sent. They usually have this kind of information there. I will post if I hear anything.

I e-mailed ESB Bank, where Amanda Ritter worked, and they confirmed that the bank has established a memorial fund for the Ritter Family at the ESB Bank - Shenango Twp. Office, 2656 Ellwood Road, New Castle, PA 16101 for those wishing to contribute to the Ritter family.
