Family of 5

After looking at the points chart, Disney sure doesn't like families of 5. We've been to Disney the past 3 years for 10+ days and we want to do it every year, but unless I'm willing to spend a bundle on the room, the variety is hideous. POR is great, but we would love to try something else without spending big bucks on a room every year.

Pretty much the whole world is geared for families of 4, so I'm not sure why this is a surprise to you.

Heck, we're about to leave on a five night trip to OKW, and we got a 2 bedroom even though it will only be 3 of us for several nights. That's why I bought into DVC...so everyone could have their own space.

Rumor has it, or maybe it's a fact that the Animal Kingdom 1 bedrooms will be able to sleep 5! Also, the CM's at DVC are willing to book you into a 1 bedroom, but will tell you that they will not provide additional bedding. Some people bring or send down an airmattress. Our DS's family has 5 and someday (now the youngest is only 2), I know, we'll be booking a 2 bedroom just for them. That's the way it is.

Yes, much of the world is geared for families of four, but most of the world does not bill itself as the ultimate family resort & entertainment. If we stand around and take it......it will never change.
