What do you call your grandparents? People always seem to have different nicknames for them.

I call my grandmother, Pow Pow. Don't ask how I came up with it, but now everyone does. Even my friends. I've called her Pow Pow since I was like 2. It feels weird calling her "grandmother" on here.

My grandfather, is a different story. I despise him so I call him Tom. His real name.

On my Mom's side I call them Nana and Papa. On my Dad's side I call them Grammie and Grampa. And I call my great-grandmother Marmie, I think one of my aunts/uncles had trouble saying Grammie, so her name became Marmie.

i called my grandparents

Moms Side:
Grammy
Pap-pap

Dads side
Grandma
Granddad

There gone now. So I wish I could still call them that.

On my mom's side
Grandma or Grandma Boopie(that's not our last name or anything it's just a nickname I guess) and Grandpa

On dad's side
Nana and Pop-Pop

I call my grandma on my mom's side "Nana".

I call my grandpa on my mom's side "Pop-Pop".

Oh on my dads side, they're dead, and I never knew them.
=/

I like everyones nickname thingies.

My dad's side are dead too. :/

I just called them Grandma and Grandpa though when they were alive.

Just grandma and grandpa.
My dad's dad isn't his real dad, tho. It's a step dad. But I mean, he's been my dad's stepdad since my dad was like 10, so he's pretty much a member of the family. But I still feel weird calling him grandpa. I usually just don't call him anything, like "Hey.... you!"
When I'm talking about him with other people I just call him Hank.
because thats his name.

moms side: grandma and my grandpa died 3 yrs before i was born but i'm pretty sure all my cousins called him grandpa or maybe granddad

dads side: grandma and pap-pap

Mmhm- I do this with some people. Like with my Mom and Dads' really good friends. Well when I was about 12 they decided I better start calling them Aunt and Uncle. Well I had already been calling them by there first names for 6 years, I wasn't about to change everything! So I just avioded name calling for a few months. Now I just call them by their first names, its not a big deal anymore.

It's the same for both sets of parents; grandma and grandpa
But, my stepmother's parents; it's: Tony, Sandy, and Bob (her stepdad)
I occasionally say grandma and grandpa for them, but not very often

both of my grandparents on my mom's side are dead, but when they were alive I called them grammy and gappy. When I was little I couldn't say grandpa, so I called him gappy and it stuck. He died when I was 6.

On my dad's side I just call them grandma and grandpa. My grandpa is technically my step-grandpa, but I've known him all my life so I call him grandpa.

Grammy and Grampy.
But if I needed to make it clear as to which side I was talking about, I would use their last name.
Now, that isn't needed because there is only one on each side.

My great aunt is also known as my aunt

And my aunts & uncles are known by their names. No Uncle John. Just John.

Alot of people where I live, are french so for my friend, it's memere and pepere (there are accents, I'm just too lazy to move my fingers to the other side of the keyboard).

My maternal grandmother is known as Gammie.
My maternal grandfather is referred to as Popops. (He died a little over 10 years ago. I was young enough to 'name' him.)
My paternal grandmother is referred to as Grandma (last name.) (I never met her.)
My paternal grandfather is referred to as Grandpa (last name.) (He died when I was very young. I don't remember him at all.)

On my Mom's side they were Memere and Pepere.

On my Dad's side they were Grammy and Grampy.

My daughter calls my parents Meme & Papa and my husbands mother and step-father Grammy and Grampy.

And she calls her great grandparents Memere and Pepere and Little Memere.

my grandparents on my mom's side are Me-Ma and Pop Pop
and on my dad's side is Gram and i never meet my grandpa so he didnt have a name

I called my mom's parents: Grandma and Grandpa. Pretty simple! They both passed away recently, within about 2 years of each other.

I called my dad's parents (these are more creative): Abuela and Doh-Doh. When I'm talking about him to my friends or something, he's my Abuelo, but he'll always be Doh-Doh to me. He also passed away, but my Abuela is still alive and well at 80! She honestly has the personality of a 20 year old. It's rather funny. On a different note, my dad's parents got divorced and each remarried. I just called my step-grandparents by their first names, Barbara and Al. I never really see Barbara anymore, but I used to see Al a lot. He died when I was 6.

My mom's side:
Dziadzuis (Grandfather)
and Babcia (Grandmother)

Those are Polish as...my mom's side is Polish haha. So I usually speak Polish when I'm there.

My dad's side:
Grandpa and Grandpa

No special story :goodvibes

Mom's Side
Oma, which is german for grandma
and her husband divorced ehr and I never saw him
My great grandma was named Oma's mommy, she just died a year ago
Dad's Side
Grandmama
Papa
then my papa's mom is Great Grandmama Nora
