Family members visiting at resort?

We have never rented a car when visiting, so I was hoping someone could help me out with this. We will be at POFQ in Dec, and my aunt and uncle live about 45 minutes away. They want to come visit at the resort one night. Will they be able to park at the resort? Do they just tell security that they are visiting a guest? Any help would be appreciated, I just don't want them to have a problem. Thanks

Yes, they will be able to visit. They can tell security they are visiting a guest, but they don't even need to do that, Disney encourages people to visit other resorts. The guard will give them a temporary parking pass when they arrive, which will allow them to park at the resort for a few hours.
