Family members only staying a few days

My husband, daughter and I are going to be at AKV for 5 nights and my mom would like to drive down for 3 days. MS said she has to be on the same meal plan and can't buy it or her tickets separately. She would get a FL resident discount for her tickets if she bought them herself.

my DH says to let her get her tickets and we just put her in our room (Q and sleeper).

any advice?

You should be able to add her at check-in. That will be past the dining plan deadline. I've heard that this loophole works, but I've never tried it myself.

DVC Reservations don't require a ticket purchase in order to add a dining plan. She can purchase what ever ticket she needs separately from the room reservation.
