Has anyone done the Family Magic Tour recently? We did it back in 2006 and it was AMAZING. DD2.5 at the time rode the carousel with Wendy and there was so much character interaction. It was truly magical. A friend did it the following year and said the tour had changed and it wasn't nearly as good as when we did it.

We are going back in October for DD's 6th birthday and I'm contemplating doing the tour again, but would love feedback from anyone who has done it recently. Thanks!

It looks like it's still being offerred on disney's website. But it might only be offerred on weekends only during slower times of the year.

We did it in 2006 and thought it was fabulous. Dd rode the carousel between Mary Poppins and the penguin and got to hold hands with her throughout fantasyland. It was the highlight of our trip.

I don't believe it's the same as it was back then from recent accounts, though. It doesn't include lunch as it did back then, only a frozen treat now. We also saw Wendy, Peter, Snow White, Mary Poppins, the Penguin, Woody, Jane, Pocahantes, and the Big Cheese himself. I think there are fewer character interactions now.

I just looked on the website and couldn't find it. I would love for my family to do this as we have already have done Walking with Walts and the Holiday tour. We have the Holiday tour planned again for our next trip and would love this too. But I don't see it

I was confused by the title of the tour in this thread. I am curious to hear if any one has done this tour recently

I'd love to know too. :confused3

We are planning our trip for October and I hpe to do this tour with my son.

I just did this (Discover the Magic) tour last Sunday with my family! It has changed a ton during the past couple of years, and doesn't include the characters it used to.

Check out my trip report for details and spoilers:

I'm happy to answer any spedific questions you might have.

Thanks everyone!

@victorandbellasmom - That's how it was on our tour. DD actually rode the carousel with Wendy, and Bert, Mary, Alice and the Mad Hatter. Wendy held my DD hand for at least 20 minutes and picked a flower and put it in her hair before she left. I almost cried, it was so magical.

@HeatherAnn - I just read your trip report. Sounds like you had a magical time. Thanks for posting about the tour now.

I think I'm gonna skip the tour for this trip because I just think I will be too disappointed knowing how it was. Gotta figure out something else to do... besides BBB and Ariel's Grotto princess:
