family holidays

I have just come back from 2 weeks in disney with 22 members of my family,the first two days were very tense and strained because of the different plans everybody had for the holiday,has anybody else had this experience and how did they cope on the holiday with their family members.

I have traveled to Disney twice with my family, my parents, my brother & his family. It seems to start out OK, but by the end of the trip we usually start to get on each others' nerves. Luckily, I have a family that isn't afraid to say how they feel, so we usually "get it all out" & let it go! The good thing is, when we get together & talk about the past trips, we bring up the good stuff & laugh about the "bad stuff". I guess the good outweighs the bad since we are planning another trip together in March!!

We went with 10 of us. We are all very different. Three mmediate families. One family group lives across the state.

We scheduled for alone time. There was a couple days that we all went in different directions. On the together days, we discussed the night before the plans for the next day.

It worked out great!
