Ummm I think it was actually 4 hours in!

OK, agreed. Pix work pretty ok, but by the time I was writing up my last day on my 2008 trip, things were pretty F.U.Z.Z.Y.

I got everything in order... Although I need to see if I can get some pics from my friend Dave. I know he has some funny ones!

This trip was being planned for over a year. Our friends, Dave & Branda moved 2 years ago from Connecticut to Indiana. We get to see them every few months when they come back to CT. We also drove to Indiana this summer to hang out with them for a week. Our daughters are only 1 month apart in age and they love each other. Both Juliana and Victoria love the princesses. Juliana's favorite is Cinderella and Victoria's favorite is Belle. Their son Alex is 2 turning 3 in May. We have traveled with Dave & Branda many times before we had kids. They love to have a good time and when we are all together LOOK OUT!

I woke up to the alarm at 4:05am. After only 3 1/2 hours of sleep, I could of rolled over and went back to sleep. I laid on my back for a minute and then rolled out of bed. The good thing was there wasn't too much to do. I got dressed and turned on the light on the back porch. Yep.. it was snowing out. I checked my computer 1 last time to make sure out flight was on time.. so far it was.

The car was mostly packed except for our carry-ons, so I just had to get dressed, throw phone charges into our bags, and pack up the tooth brushes. I also checked one last time to make sure I had our park tickets. In case you didn't know, I left them home in October. They were right where I put them- in my carry-on.

We work Juliana up at 4:35 and got her dressed. She was really tired and it took her a few minutes to get her bearings. We asked her if she wanted to pull off the last Mickey head from our countdown calendar, and that got her excited!

Pulling it off.. that means it's time to leave!!!

Melody's dad arrived at our house and we put the last of the bags in the car. The snow was steadily coming down but wasn't accumulating on the roads. Thank goodness.

We actually made great time and arrived at the airport(White Plains, NY) at 6:20. Not too bad. We already had our boarding passes but we had to stop at the counter to check our bags.
Bag #1 51lbs.. ummmm!

We had to make them lighter or we were gonna get charged $75. I weighed them before we left the house and they were all at 50lbs. How did this happen? I took out my jacket and a few other things. Threw them back on the scale and all 3 were 50lbs! Sweet. Took the bags off the scale and walked them over to security. Before we made it there we stuffed my jacket and the other clothes back in there.

I had a loaf of Portuguese bread, grated cheese, & homemade pepperoni in my backpack that we were bringing to Melody's grandparents. We asked the girl at the JetBlue counter if we can carry that on the plane and she said there was no problem with it. We asked again at security just to make sure. Yep.. we could bring it on.

Going through security is always an adventure.. especially when you are trying to get through with 3 carry-ons, a computer case, a diaper bag(full of cleaning supplies for the plane), a pocketbook(not mine), a stroller, a car seat, and a kid! I feel sorry for whoever is behind us. What are you supposed to do for a 2 week trip? We NEED all this stuff!

WHEW- this is how we feel once we make it through security.

We only had to wait about 20-25 minutes before we boarded. Juliana and I watched the snow keep falling down and how they de-iced the planes.

We heard a crackle on the speaker saying it was time for us to start boarding. WOOT WOOT. We got on the plane and got settled. The whole process went very quickly. They started de-icing the plane. Juliana thought they were washing it! Too Funny.

Now the seating on the plane was 2 seats, the isle, then 2 seats. Melody & Juliana were sitting together and I was on the isle seat next to them. While we were getting de-iced there was a lady sitting directly in front of Melody. She started picking her nose. I was watching her and she was going to town on it. She must of found what she was looking for and I started wondering what she was going to do with it.

What do you think?

Wipe it in a tissue?
Wipe it on the seat?
Put it in the seat pocket?

Well none of the above.

She ate it!!!!!!!!

I couldn't believe my eyes!!! I was grossed out and laughing at the same time. Melody was wondering what was happening so I wrote what happened on a piece of paper and gave it to her. She started cracking up... then was immediately grossed out!

We took off about 15 minutes late.. not too bad considering the de-icing. Our flight was a little bumpy but not too bad. The girls getting excited!!!!

I've known Dave since kindergarten, although our 'friendship' didn't start until sophomore year of high school.
