Hello! Our family is headed to MNSSHP in Oct and we're all wanting to dress up. We're 3 adults (1 male and 2 female) and 2 kids (8 year old girl and 3 year old boy). Does anyone have any good family costume theme ideas that would work for our group? Thanks in advance! :)

What does the 8 year old girl want to be? Based on your group, I'd guess her to be the pickiest about a costume, then you can work around that. My 8 year old daughter wants to be Elsa. So, my 5 year old boy is Olaf. I'm Anna and husband is Sven. The idea was that the 11 year old boy could be Sven and my husband could be Kristoff but the 11 year old wants nothing to do with that idea. So, he may be a vampire.

one year we went with friends. it was four adults and three kids, all girls 13,12,8. we decided late to do the party. the adults went as prisoners and the kids dressed as cops. worked out pretty good, all were comfortable and easy to get on rides and run around trick or treating.
walking in from the bus stop the orange county sheriff standing by his cruiser yelled over "good job girls, bring the right over here" and opened the back door to his cruiser. :lmao: I thought that was pretty cool, he isn't even on the payroll. :lmao:

The last time we went to MNSSHP we were Mom, Dad, DD about 11, DS about 4....we all went as pirates. With your group, it would be easy to do the same. You could have a wench, Elizabeth Sparrow, a girl pirate, boy pirate, Jack SParrow, etc. Mix and match whatever costumes everyone in your group likes.

On a Halloween cruise, the kids went as football players and the parents as referees and crazy fans. Pretty inexpensive and easy.
