Family Auto and Appliance Direct

OK - there must have been threads about this in the past, but I've been here only a year and the CB threads move so fast...

Do we have any other fans of Family Auto and Appliance Direct out there? When we're down in Disney, and the kids fall asleep, DH and I can sit and watch their infomercials for HOURS! (Ok - I know - LOSERS)

We especially love Family Auto - with the guy spinning cartwheels and their hillbilly skits!

Anyone else?

Ok after watching TV down in Disney last week I have couple of questions for those of you who live in these areas:

Appliance Direct - are they man and wife? Seem like a wierd combination to me for just spokespeople so they must be married. For some reason she reminds me of Pam Dawber from Mork and Mindy.

Car Dealers - why is it that every car dealer has there phone number on a board they hold up to the camera? Why don't they just overprint the number on the screen.

No, they're not married. The guy owns all of them, and the woman works as a spokesperson after his little girl got too old to do the commericals.

Ahh...I remember the "Just arrived....the new ALMOND color! Ooohhh!" days

Halloween Horror Nights made fun of her this year because she is ALWAYS wearing a plaid dress and a knee brace. Heaven knows why.

They are pretty much all the same - a female spokesperson holds the board as she walks past a row of cars. And they all say "so pick up the phone and give us a call, 1-800-...."

Never seen Family Auto but Appliance Direct makes us crack up.
Especially when the guy is describing the toilet and the selling point is that its real porcelain.

If you didn't shop at appliance direct...YOU PAY TOO MUCH!




I LOVE Family Auto mart too.....my roommates and I used to sit around and watch that show all the time, we even made events out of it..Family Auto Mart parties!
