Falmouth excursions

Chukka owns Good Hope Estate. All tours on that property will be with them. That includes the house tour, zip lining, ATV, etc.

Thanks, I was aware of that. But, on the Port Adventures page there are several tours going to Good Hope Estate, but only one was listed as a Chukka tour, while the others are not. We are not interested in having a large meal there, so are considering the non-Chukka option. But, would do the specific Chukka tour if there was a benefit to that.

Considering a trip to see Good Hope Estate. One of the excursions is specifically with Chukka tours, does anyone know if there's advantage to going with them over one of the other Disney excursions to Good Hope?

We went there in May (did the tea and tour of the house). I'm pretty sure you'll end up on the same bus, either way, especially coming back.

Right, but Chukka runs all the excursions on their estate property for Disney. Even if the tour doesn't list Chukka, but is at Good Hope estate, it will be with Chukka. You also stand a pretty good chance of being on a Chukka tour even if not going to the estate. They have a huge contract with Disney, RCCL and a few other cruise lines as tour operators. Even if all you do is the house tour, you will be put on a bus with other excursions going to and from the grounds. When we went in April our bus had our tour, The Extreme Getaway Package and one other...I think it was just zip lining. We had colored paper bracelets with our tour name on it to identify who was doing what. It's the same way on the way back to the ship. They have a bus that leaves on the hour.

Chukka actually does not own Good Hope Estate, they are simply contracted by the estate owners to offer the tours and activities there. The only reason I know this and am correcting this is because we were there in early May with the Fantasy and when we were in the aviary we got talking to the girl who oversees the birds, she explained to us how she does not work for Chukka and how they are contracted to offer activities on the estate....and then the actual estate owner happened to walk in so we got got to meet him and chat with him, he was an older man who has owned the estate for quite a few decades. It is still a working plantation, the area that chukka is contracted to is a small piece of it.
