I have had a broken one....and I carefully removed the glass, placed the candle in a container that was about the same size and it burned fine all the way to the end.

PS I did get it out of the glass by putting it in the freezer and carefully turing the glass until it popped out.

OH, and I am burning Macintosh right now, IT Smells REALLY good!!!

I would like to call myself somewhat of a candle freak. Not only that, but I tend to be somewhat of a candle snob. Had the title of this thread been Wal-Mart Candle Exchange, you can get I WOULDN"T be participating. I burn only Yankee (and Bath and Body). At one time I burned the sames scents all the time, but only certain ones for each room. For example, I LOVED mulberry, but you would only see that in my living room, not any other room in the house. The kitchen was the only room that got any variation, but it had to be food related. Since that time I have become a little less strict. BUT, the reason for this post is that I have never ever used the tarts. Never have even thought about it. They sound like fun. I think I may have to try them out!

I am also a candle freak

I have been using the tarts for about a year now and I love them!!

I have a tart burner in my living room, dining room and kitchen. I like to use coordinating scents, ie buttercream in kitchen and chocolate chip cookie in LR and DR or Home Sweet Home in LR and DR and cinnamon in kitchen. I could go on and on!! I usually get two uses out of each tart. I also pop them into the freezer after the two uses and they just "fall" out of the burner.

Just be careful where you place the burner. If you have cats who climb on furniture or children, place it high and out of the way. I have scraped wax with a credit card off my kitchen floor after the kids bumped into the burner.

Yes, it is difficult, but I have been burning the candles that I had gotten in my exchange, and also ones that I already have, so I have to just tough it out PATIENTLY

I have tried everything! Yankee are the best!
I hae so many, I could burn for years and not need to shop
I burn scents to match the season.....and am partical to food ones.....like blueberry muffin
I have 3 full 18 packs....most will be gifts here and there.
3 shoe boxes FULL of tarts.
Tea lights....those holders tend to be SO cute.
Jars....small, medium and large.....at least 15 large ones!! Just for me to burn at home.

I don't mix tarts.....I like my scents single But that is a personal preference. I have a raspberry cream tart going now.....and there is a buttermilk pancakd downstairs waiting for a little later.

Oh.....check the candle accessories when you go to WDW or DL....last time I got a Pooh shade and a scattered Mickey shade

Hope we hear of some more arrivals tomorrow.

Thanks. I thought that we could share a few tips and suggestions with each other since it seems like many of us are interested in Yankee Candles, and some of us are even recieving tarts.

Nancy, substitute votives for tarts, and add a lot more jars, and that's ME!

I buy most of it to give it away! I can't burn it all myself, after all! Altho, I try.

LOL....Kim...well, I looked and I have 25 jars....these are just for me
I also have a cedar chest...although smallish....FULL of accessories to give to people....I am overly obssessed.
But it is fun and I do love them.
I have some of the cutest holders. One is a tart burner that looks like a mug of hot chocolate....it has a lid that looks like the whipped cream.....I could go on and on.
I love the new ...and expensive....tart burners, like the beach one that was posted.....but quantity always wins out.

And....so...tomorrow is a mail day I expect to hear of a few arrivals

LOL.....I think we are related....that is a chest inside a closet. The rest of the closet has lots of other gifts Disney stuff and another thing I overbuy....bath and body works
I converted a clothes closet into a shelved closet just for this .....LOL, I think we are both pathetic....but we give GREAT gifts!! (and we won't talk about the closet that holds Lily's clothes )

No...just a mail "delivery" day...hoping to hear that some of our last ones make it to their destinations!!

KIm...yep, I take them traveling....taking one tomorrow to Reno

So...I will be out of town tomorrow. Be back on Friday to check in ....and hopefully find that they all have arrived!!
