We (My DW, and DS) are shooting for a fall trip to Disney- probably lates september or early october. Can anyone recommend the slowest time to go in those months? Our DS will only be 14 months in October so I'm sure we will have our hands full and dont really want to contend with crowds. Also does anyone know if their are any special events going on in that time frame that we should avoid- national cheer tournament, Dart throwing championships of American, steer roping national finals- you get the picture;)

Thanks gang have a great FRIDAY!!!

lol!! The only steer roping would be done by Woody and his friends!! LOL!!! :lmao:

Hi Brent... both times that you are looking at are low crowds. My Dh & I just booked our late Sept trip w/ our baby (he will be 17 mo)... Sept/Oct is still hot but the weather is forever changing. The magical beginnings should be at that time (special times/activities for children under 5) and the start of the halloween parade will be going on as well in the MK (dates yet to be announced)...
I personally think its a great time and hope that its just as magical for our little one...

Thanks so much for your insite Rabbit!! I think we are leaning towards october since the early fall can still be so hot. I love the heat but the Misses and JR wont  Hope you and your family have a magical vacation also!!

Hi, I think you are safe at the time your thinking of going. Remember, all the parks have baby stations (usually located next to First Aid office). It is a great place to get you little one out of the heat. They have High chairs, large room w/big changing tables sell baby necessities etc. So, when you are there make sure yo know where each one is in each park. Enjoy!!!

Thanks Disney45!! We were planning on this spring but my son will only be 8 months so we figured we would wait until fall when hes eating more solid food and hopefully will be able to go a little longer without a nap

Our Alana princess: will also be 14 months in September, and that's when we plan on going. It's a nice calm time of year to go, I think it's a good decision. The only thing I can think of is staying away from the Epcot Food/Wine festival (if they still have it.)

We went Sept 30 - Oct 5 '07 and it was wonderful!! It was slightly hotter than I expected (or should I say I had wished) but the crowds were great. We had little to no wait. The longest was BTMR the day before it closed for refurb. Everything else was 10-15 or less. It was great. We went to the MNSSHP too. It was amazing and we rode many things over and over again!! Also, the day we went to AK we rode Rapids ride 5 times without getting off. We were soaked to the bone but it was wonderful! We got great seats for the fireworks without camping out. It was a wonderful time and trip!!

We went in the begining of september, and the crowds were low. The weather was still a little too warm for a baby though. I think as long as you go knowing that you're not going to see everything and ride every ride and decide to go with the flow, you'll have a blast no matter what time you go. Good luck and safe travels!:goodvibes
