Tell me about these bands. My 16 1/2 dd is begging to go see them and I want to know about them. Why doesn't she want to go see the Eagles or the Doobies?? :confused3 :teeth:

They are pretty cool

I prefer Fall out Boy . . . . . .(sugar we're going down) :goodvibes

I also like the Eagles :thumbsup2 road trip to eagles concert :moped: I could see it now -- all the DIS cliques :moped:

Their tickets would be much, much cheaper than the Eagles. ;)

Have you done a search on their lyrics? That may help you a bit. I like them but I don't think that will help you. If she wants to go see them near me I'll go with her and keep an eye on her. :teeth:

It's going to be May 2nd at Cricket Arena. She is getting me lyrics now. I'm not sure I am up for this. Is it going to be a bunch of teeny boppers or college kids?? What would I be getting myself into?? The last concert I went to was Allman Brothers in the fall and it was mellow. :teeth: Ok, I'm looking at some titles of their songs. "Of All The Gin Joints In All The World". :rotfl2: Ok, I might like them. "Nobody Puts Baby In The Corner". Ok, is this going to be like a comedy act?? :lmao: Wait up, "I've Got A Dark Alley And A Bad Idea That Says You Should Shut Your Mouth". :earseek: Wow, they are geeky looking. :rotfl: Alright, well I was younger than her when I saw AC/DC and I turned out just fine. :cool1:

I think Fall Out Boy is a lot of fun. My kids (college age) just told me that if I went to one of their concerts it would be me and a bunch of 15 year olds! (I'm not going, don't worry). They said that kids their age are more into rap.

They are lively and fun. I like "Dance, Dance".

I love fall out boy.

They're awesome

Is the asking to go to the tour with:

Fall Out Boy
All-American Rejects
Hawthorne Heights
From First To Last
The Hush Sound

?

I don't know much about FFTL or THS but Hawthorne Heights is much more "screamy" than FOB or AAR. Their subject matter is a little bit more mature than the other two too.

But they're all great bands.

Ooh, that isn't too far from me. I'll come go with you so that you aren't the only one there who isn't a teeny bopper or college kid.

I have not been to a concert of either but from the looks of it they will be full of energy and you will be all caught up in the music before you know it.

They are all typical rock/pop mass market drudge clones that appeals to a 12-20 year old audience with 14-15 year old female being the target. I'm sure it will be tolerable.

I saw October Fall who is the first band on that bill with the Veronica's a couple weeks ago. I preferred October Fall, not quite as sugary. I think more than a few of the parents weren't pleased with the F-Bombs they were dropping onstage, so be prepared for that.

Interesting comments about ages. Maybe it's geographic? The college kids around here love Fallout Boy, not so much the high schoolers :confused3 Just found it interesting, I have nothing else on the subject  :goodvibes

This Friday I'm bringing my cousin and I (he's younger than me) to see all these bands. I saw All American Rejects about 3 years ago. They were awesome.
