I'm trying to decide when to take DS 3 to DLR again -- sometime in either late September or early November. I'm hoping some of you experts can help out, given the following things that are important to us:

- Planning for an overnight at GCH, so I want a good rate.

- Small crowds. We will go mid-week, no matter which month it is.

- As for refurbs, the important rides for DS are not the "popular" ones...he likes Casey Jr. Train, IASW, Autopia, Jungle Boat Cruise, Winnie the Pooh, and a bunch of other small rides.

- Halloween decorations could be fun, but not hugely important.

- Shows are not really important. We would like to see Disney Junior Live, but that's about it.

So, in summary, we want the least crowded time with the best hotel rates, and don't want IASW to be closed...anytime between late Sept - early November. I think October is "out" because of big Halloween crowds, right?

Thanks.

I'd guess early November is out too because ITASW will be down to get it's holiday overlay.

Besides September will have nicer weather, maybe hot, but less chance of rain and needing jackets and pants.

In either case going midweek mean short hours and no F! or Fireworks.

You are right about September being hot (potentially). October really has great weather, but I'm concerned about Halloween crowds.

Are there still big crowds mid-week in October? Or only on the nights of the Halloween party?

I posted in another thread, but discount rates for the Grand have been published thru Oct 1st, 30% off. Lowest rate $249 for Sept Sun-Thurs nights. Sept 18-21th would be a good time.
