Fall is in the air.....

Love fall! Here in the Pacific Northwest, it got all fall-ish early on us this past week. Wet and gray, temps down in the 50's at night. That I don't love so much, though being a 35-year native, I practically have webbed feet, and I do like the rain. But usually we get a little streak of really nice Indian summer in September. Crisp mornings and cool nights, but warm as summer midday. Love it!

I'm back teaching Kindergarten for my church's private school again this year, where my kids attend. We started last week already. This week my class is doing all apples, all the time! Apple tasting tomorrow, sorting, counting, graphing everybody's favorites, songs and fingerplays about apples, apple art, apple books.

And I'm really trying to concentrate on getting my lesson plans done ahead of time, because we have fall break the week of Columbus Day, and guess where I'll be? WOO HOO! Getting so excited for our DL trip! I can't wait to see all the decorations!

(BTW, I was born in the UP in Marquette-- but I don't remember it )

I love fall as well! It never used to be one of my favs but now that I have kids I really love it. There are so many fun things with the kids with back to school and my girls are in Girl Scouts and we do a lot of fun things. The girls are in soccer and they have games every Saturday and soon it will be time to go up to Apple Hill and we get carmel apples and pumpkins. This weekend it was surprisingly cool as well. Usually it is still pretty hot over Labor Day but it was cooler than normal.

Last year we went to the Mickey's Halloween Treat at DL so I will be a little sad to hear and see all the threads about it since we won't be getting to go to DL this year over Halloween. I think we went in 06 as well but I AM going to DW in Nov so I have THAT to look forward to!

I love this time of year cuz the kids really get in to Halloween and I love to decorate the house and we start watching all the halloween movies on tv and it just a fun time of year. LOOOVE it!

my mother and i are obsessed with fall! we go the mall sooo much just to look at all the halloween/fall things in the candle stores! those fall scents smell sooooo good and im so excited for fall/halloween time at disneyland!! what could be better? officially one month til our trip today!!

What a lucky Kindergarten class you have. They are going to have a lot of fun with all those apple activities.
I just realized our trip dates will overlap. We'll be there the 13th thru the 19th. I can't wait!!

I love decorating the house and watching all the Halloween movies too. I'll watch fun ones like Hocus Pocus with the kids during the day or early evening, then late at night with the lights out is the only way to watch my other movies like Halloween, Scream, etc.

I'm glad someone besides me is obsessed with it. And you are right about those scents. Pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, etc. just scream Fall to me. I love it.

I love Fall too. But we still have 100 degree weather in Northern CA! UGH. I think Starbucks has pumpkin spice lattes starting tomorrow YAHOO! Now that's when I know it's Fall (even if it is 100 out). LOL.

I love Fall!! The leaves haven't started changing here in Nebraska yet. It was in the mid-90's over the weekend. But today it's only in the 60's! It's supposed to be highs in the lower/mid-70's all week so that'll be nice. I hate summer and hot weather.

Fall and winter are wonderful! I love the cool weather and colors of fall. And I also love the freezing weather and snow in winter. (I guess those are two of the reasons I didn't like living in Orange county, CA.....haha. They only have spring and summer over and over and over and over......)

Panera had pumpkin muffin tops.....so yummy!

I am going to buy some Fall decor this week. I need a Fall welcome mat for our (new) house!

Well, I'm sure it's beautiful there though. That's gotta make up for something right?

I don't like the cold and snow, but I would need more of a change then that. As hot as we get here in Vegas, at least in winter it does get cool. Downright cold in fact. Some mornings we'd head out to the school bus and the trickles of water from the sprinklers were frozen into ice!

I just hope when we go to DL in October it's not hot. I hate being at DL when it's hot, and October can be an iffy month in CA.

Fall is my favorite season. I live in Boise and it is so pretty here during that time of year.

I am just hoping the winter that follows is not as brutal as last year.

I live in Boise, too! And after living my entire life in SoCal, Autumn here is definitely my favorite season. However, I'm not looking forward to Winter, either. I read that it's going to be drier, but colder, than last year. Burrrr!

Ha ha! I'm in San Jose and I think we get about 10 minutes of "fall". Usually the only way to know summer has ended is because it is raining and now winter! It's in the 90s this week, but the Halloween costumes are coming out.

Ah, yes, fall is in the air, and so are many an allergy! not to mention, sneezing and runny noses, now exactly where those noses are running to, not sure yet, for only time will tell! he he ~! pass me a Kleenex please, and thank you, no, not that Kleenex, I prefer the type that has lotion in it, ah so nice and soft, like a babies booty............ he he! seriously though, I do prefer the lotion type.

Ahh yes I've definitely noticed my allergies kicking in more. I did get my 1st pumpkin spice latte this morning! they had pumpkin scones and loaf too yum. Although it is supposed to be 100 today and tomorrow UGH. When will it end haha.

I woke up to a chilly house today. It must've gotten cold last night. Yay for a lower electric bill for a while! (But boo for a higher gas bill in the winter...haha.) It's almost 10:30am and it's only 59 outside right now. I love it!
