Fall/Fall Advantage 2010 Interview Thread!

How are you contacted to let you know about the phone interview?

My web interview had frozen when I reached the last page, but I called and was told it was completed and I was 'all set,' so I don't know if its a number your supposed to call or if its just a waiting game for the phone interview.

You call to schedule the phone interview. The number appears with a completion code on a page after you are finished.

You may have had your web interview reset or you may have to re-login to the application and see if you still need to finish (or hit next somewhere) to get to that page.

I know my interview was completed. The Guy over the phone told me so, He didn't reset it.

I know the phone number to schedule an interview, but I figure without a completion code it would be rather pointless to call?

They don't need your completion code until the phone interview itself - at least, they didn't need it when I called to schedule.

My interview went pretty well, I guess.

I sorta started getting choked up when I explained what Disney meant to me - I don't know how that affected anything.

But she said they'd email me about audition dates and such, and that I'd hear back in 2-4 weeks. I didn't get any questions about roles, except if I've done cash handling. It was weird. But she said that I explained about myself enough for her to write things down about the other roles, and cash handling covered a lot.

We will see. No high hopes, but who knows.

I think she was in a rush, honestly, so I wouldn't worry about it. She had to cut my interview a little short because the system hadn't been working properly and she was short staffed, so she had to deal with all of that.

My interview is scheduled for 5:15 Central time on Monday, January 25th. . .which also happens to be my birthday. I'm hoping that's a good luck sign!

Yeah, she mentioned the system not working, but not the short-staffed problem. That does make things more difficult.

She called me about 10-15 minutes late, so I guess my shortened interview helped yours only be 5 minutes late? Not bad I suppose.

2-4 weeks is going to be a longgggg time. :hyper:

I did the web based interview and did not pass. There was one statement that went: I would never lie to get a job. I said to myself, "My goodness, of course I would never do that!" and--I'm sure you see where this is going--"strongly disagree." :headache: Well, I'm thinking that answer may have been an "automatic fail answer" and resulted in me throwing the entire interview. I already called a telephone number that they had on the page that said I didn't pass the interview and left a message explaining what happened (since it's a weekend and the offices are closed) but I don't know if this is something that's actually worth calling about or if I just need to wait and try again next spring. Do you think I'm correct about that answer being an "automatic fail answer," or do you think it would have taken more than that to fail the test? Do you think this is really something to call about? Thank you for any advice!

I'm sorry! I do think there are some "automatic fail answers". Truthfully, I don't know if they'll reset the test for you. They use the web interview to narrow down applicants but you can always try and talk to them. It wouldn't hurt anything to try.

When they say you have to be in school, they mean you have to be enrolled in college, not that you actually have to be in session. So you could be on winter break, that's fine. But you can't have not started college, be unenrolled, or have graduated.

ETA: Also, administrators work over break. They don't take off. So someone would answer the call if Disney did call to verify your enrollment status.

Agreed! I'm already frantically checking my email for the 'thanks for interviewing' email that I've heard you get.

Yep - that should come in sometime this week or next week. At the beginning, they're still working out kinks, so ours may take a little longer than people later.

....Is it the 4th yet?

quick question does the thankyou email tell you if your accepted or do you have to wait for the purple folder?

Am I missing something, what happens on the 4th?

They send you a 'Thank you for interviewing' email right after the interview, and then an acceptance/rejection email anywhere from 2-6 weeks afterwards. You'll also receive your purple folder after that, or you could JUST get the purple folder and no email.

That's two weeks from our interviews!

Ahh, gotcha.

That reminds me that I really need to get started on my english paper that's due on the 5th, lol.
