Fall/Fall Advantage 2008

So, I had my interview today. I... think it went well. It was really quick! I decided to only go for Attractions and Merchandise and they asked the questions you guys mentioned on the boards. I hope I get in! :)

Good luck to those waiting and Congrats to those who got accepted!

You can request a roomie. But you can't really ask for more then that unfortunately (other then request the same complex).

so youk now how i mentioned last time that everyone in my school was bouncingm e around and didn't know what to do with me?? HAHA

well turns out that if I had done what my department chair told me ....i would have been a part time student....would have lost my scholarship, health insurance, and my i would have started to be billed for my loans.....NOT COOL!!!

Well long story short!!! I'm not going on any type of academic leave, I'm just going to take 4 on-line course at my university! EASY!!!! that means no disney classes though :headache: So sad......

BUUUUUUT if I didn't do that I wouldn't be able to go to Disney! SO ANYTHING FOR DISNEY!!!!!!

OMG I can't wait to meet everyone when I get down there!!!!

First--I posted it on facebook but totally forgot about you guys oops. I got the "strong candidate" letter yesterday!! yay!! so i guess i just have to wait on a role... crossing my fingers (xx) for the audition

What is the "strong candidate" letter? Thx.

If your role offer is pending an audition for entertainment, sometimes you may be mailed a letter letting you know that you did well during your preliminary interview. I'm not certain, but I think they're only mailed out if the audition date one is participating in is relatively far out.

Good that you got that figured out! I went through all of that same thing. I will start using up my 6 month defferment of my student loans :scared1: But since I dont have schools health insurance or scholarships I am still good. I still want to see if I could take online courses. That way I can still get my financial aid for the quarter. Every bit counts!

wow it's good to know that I'm not alone in all this confusion haha. Does ur college have a recruiter for the disney program? or did you do the e-presentation?

I got the "strong candidate" letter yesterday!! yay!! my letter was dated feb 28.. so it took a week to ge to me and i only live 2 and a half hours away..

I just got my strong candidate letter today! It was also dated February 28th, but post marked March 3rd.

I believe that everyone gets one. Last time, I got my letter about a week AFTER my audition... I started laughing when I opened it because I thought it was going to be my offer! Geesh Disney! I then got my offer a week later via e-mail.

Last year we had a presentation, but I couldnt go. this year we didn't but I watched the e-presentation.

oooohhh so ur college at least knows what the program is. haha lucky duck.
I'm the first to go in ooooh 10 years? lol

Haha, we may have had a presentation, but I'm assuming no one did the program. Nobody that I talked to had even heard of it. The only person who did was someone in our career center and she was only focusing on the PIs so she was no help.

Oh wow! That's a great height! And it doesn't matter if you don't dance. I know people who got performer who don't dance. Character attendant is good too. I did that back in 2006, and am still seasonal.

Can you tell me how easy it is to stay on as seasonal? Thx.

It's not that hard. As long as you keep your record card clean, you should be able to go seasonal.:)

What are the hardest ones? besides entertainment and bbb. is hospitality hard? thats my #1 choice.

I would say the roles that can be hard to get are:
*performer
*BBB
I wouldn't say hospitality is hard, but I'm sure they try to put people there who are in the major.
*Same for Table Service resturants
