Fall Dapper Day

i just found out that we will be at WDW when the Fall Dapper Day takes place. However the date, November 18, is our departure date so we will need to change into "regular" clothes for the flight. This would be a bit of a challenge but I've got that part worked out.

For those of you who have attended this before, would you do it given the circumstances of that being your last day in the park?

If you've got the clothing change worked out, I'd say go for It!

We stumbled upon our first dapper day when we went to see the opening of Festival of Fantasy. We've been to one other since then.

Personally I would NEVER dress up for a Disney trip. But I hate to dress up in general.

I learned about Dapper Day, when I was visiting MK on a Dapper day.
I dressed for Dapper day in MK once, and when we made our 1st visit to DL in 2015 a Dapper day there
coincided with our trip, so DS and I dressed for Dapper day.
We also had a little Dis meet with some other Dis'ers who were posting in the thread prior to the trip.

I would do it even if it was my last day of a trip.
Just put your regular clothes in a bag that you can carry on, and change prior to leaving for the airport.

We never do a park in general on our last day, because the idea of going to a park and then being back in time for Magical Express sounds kind of stressful - we like earlier flights. But if you're planning to go to a park anyway, I don't see why this would make it different have fun!

We never do a park in general on our last day, because the idea of going to a park and then being back in time for Magical Express sounds kind of stressful - we like earlier flights. But if you're planning to go to a park anyway, I don't see why this would make it different have fun!

Our flight will probably not be until around 6:00, based on the current schedules SW has, but we can't book it yet. That being the case, we usually stay in the park until around 12:30-1:00, catch the bus back to the resort, and have a 3:00 Magical Express pickup time.

On departure day, I will place a change of clothes in a bag, then store it in the lockers in the pool shower rooms before heading to the MK. I come back, shower and change and put the worn clothes in the carry on bag. I've never had a problem with security doing this.

Under circumstances would I miss Dapper Day lol.

Personally I would just go to the airport looking spiffy.

Hello Fellow Dapper Pals!!

I absolute loveeee Dapper Day. They have Dapper day at all the parks. Orlando, FL has two days in April and two days in November.
I am trying to theme my outfits accordingly. I love to bring some disney bounding into my dapper outfit. I have either Marie or Daisy Duck outfit planned for one day.
I am thinking of Sleeping beauty Auroa make it pink make it blue outfit. That I am sewing and styling myself.

I can tell you that it will be busy at the park. I recommend getting there earlier than you think. Especially If you are meeting the group that does the photos. I recommend bringing an umbrella for shade or a hat. It gets really hot in November all dressed up. We did a little sweating but kept hiding in the shade. Be prepared to be stopped a LOT and asked for photos. People really love it. You will spend more time taking photos than standing in line for rides. the employees and characters will be super excited about your attire. Have fun with photos. Bring a FUN bag. Don't forget to give the Dapper Day greeting. "HAPPY DAPPER DAY".

There is a section in Epcot that you pay ahead of time (Living Seas Lounge) and you can hang out with other dapper day guests. these tickets are sold early and once sold out, you will be turned away at the door. They will have special photographers and merchandise to buy and other fun stuff.

I would go for it! Dapper Day's have never coincided with my trips but I always think pictures of them look so cute! It could be a nice ending to your trip and make for some wonderful pictures.

This will be the first time it has worked with our schedule as well. The morning I started the thread I had mentioned to DW that I wanted to do that,not even knowing when the scheduled dates were. And the by chance I checked and saw our departure date was one in the fall so decided to go for it!
